Had one since lvl 10 and kept it until I could create a saddle for it. I was on my first trip out with it, and it went and attacked a tek Rex and died. I tamed the tek Rex though. RIP.

If u want a bird that can fly fast and spy the map Ptetra is ur guy. Bola their legs and tame them with dodo kibble

CARNIVORE: attacks most things around it when not tamed, or only attacks in packs - only eats meat

HERBIVORE: runs from any thing that attacks it, or only attacks things that attack them - only eats plants, like crops and berries

OMNIVORE: runs from anything that attacks it, or only attacks things that attack them - tame with meat, eats meat AND plants while tamed

Im very sure that pteradons are omnivores. The Dododex says they are carnivores, but I can explain why they arent:

They arent aggressive. If it only ate meat, it would attack things to survive. But it doesnt, because it can survive off of plants, so what's the point in killing things?

I may be wrong though. Pteradons have sharp teeth for eating meat, and no flat ones for grinding plants, so I definitely could be wrong :v

The way to test this theory is to tame a pteradactyl and when its hungry feed it a berry. If its hunger goes up, then it is able to eat berries and its totally an omnivore yay im smart but if nothing happens you can yell at me for wasting your time but then MAYBE YOU SHOULDNT HAVE READ THIS! HMPH! My times wasted, too, ya know.

Guys is it safe to usey my pteradon on going to volcano?

Don’t. Don’t even try taming them. Just watch adds till u get a argie saddle and tame argies. It’s way easier. Cuz they can grab bigger things and can carry more metal than two average Brontos with a pack of three. Plus my pteranodons would always push me off cliffs. And into a gigas jaws.

When saddle jacked DO NOT pike pterandon instead the use a Bola (ensnare tame) or club (k.o's rider).

Use ranged for combat or bola it to use melee weapons. Warning, do not take the egg from one, they are quick.

Don’t waste your time on a pt, go to crystal isle and tame a wyvern.

I would not tame one for a hi level play like when you get qutzuil saddle get one my pt alwalys died

Is it normal for a level 12 pteranodon to kill a rex lvl 3

Once had a lvl 302 one. Lost it because my cousin and I went Griffin taming and when he was coming back to our taming pen he lagged out and died and we couldn't find it before the sabertooths got it.

Try to find high level male and females. Breed them and get at least another male and female. By doing this, their base stats will be pretty high.

Just dont catch it lulululululul and run

If your having trouble finding high level pteranodons, I'd suggest going to the redwoods and bring some spike walls just in case so you and the bird can't get attacked by terror birds or any other threats there.. for any level/easy tame, look around the 2 tropical islands, usually the only threats there are compys and dilos

If you pick up these guys egg fallow these steps. : 1 Bola the mom and dad. 2 take the egg 3 run back to your base and put the egg is a storage box then mom and dad will leave u alone
