Try and find the highest level one possible, and tame it. I tamed a level 150 and it killed an alpha carno on its own and didn’t get hit a single time. Make sure to use multi tap, because it does more than a normal hit, and it speeds you up.

I’m not sure if it’s something that’s normal but I tranqed a level 24 pteranodon, feed it prime meat and it took two hours, I made runs to the ocean near by for bio toxin because this silly flying lizard was eating it so slowly that it used 23 bio toxin, I mean, first time taming one but still, is that normal?

One would say a great game now only good for base decor! Sad day in ark when breed up 309 now they slow!

RIP to Pteras :( they were once so great and now have been nerfed into a almost useless animal. Oh how much harder it will now be to get prime and a lot of other things. :(((

It's useless now. Bad stamina, low speed,what more should you want.

My level 37 pteranodon has killed 4 alphas in its time. Two alpha carnos and two alpha rex's.They are VERY OP.

I feed this bird with biotoxin from annoying blue jellyfish. Well, just watchout for the electric

If the pterodon has a high enough weight you can pick up animals with left trigger on Xbox. Depending on stamina you can only try a few times as it drains stamina with each attempt.

The are very good for if you want a wyvering egg

tame on rag NOT ISLAND get mutton then (get mutton wi'll starving not after) rag has higher level and more plus the get 2% more damage if tamed on rag ;)

Try to level up a pteranodon's speed and weight so it can carry you around fast.

How to tame:

1 bola the creature

2 hit with hands/baseball bat

3 feed meat

You don't need saddle and help noobs they will help you

Easiest way to tame them

1 unlock pteranodon saddle

2 use metal spear and kill around 5 scorpions

3 don't harvest the scorpion with metal spear harvest with metal axe!

4 fine you got enough chitin

5 collect fibres (better use moschop)

6 ride raptor hunt for dodo lystro and wild moschops

7 craft your new flyer sadhle

8 enjoyyyyyyy the air in ark

Pteranodons are not the best flyer since the new flyer update, go find a tapejara or argentavis instead
