The pteranodon is a great starter flyer, however the weight kinda sucks compared to a argentavis so I’d recommend getting the argy soon later! Pls up this so beginners will see.

I see a lot of people’s pteras dying because they didn’t follow their owners when they whistled follow in a battle. I just wanted to say they will keep attacking if they are on attack target or neutral, so you have to whistle passive then follow. It may be risky, but sometimes it’s your best hope.

I just realized at least get 30 raw fish meat and give it to it I tamed it in five seconds without narcotics! LOL!

This about about keeping the ptera down when you nock it.

This stuff is so useful and is an easy harvest just stand on the shore and use a bow and arrow to kill the jellies.

This stuff has +80 torpor so it doubles narcotics.

They are very helpful to get arownd on and they are pretty fast so I would recommend getting this as you're first flying time I hope you find this helpful.

This is for the real noobs like me you can tame one under lvl20 with just 1 simple kibble so take your bola throw it and knock them out with the wooden club and put 1 simple kibble in them

You have a better chance of bola-ing it when it’s landed but these things eat slow and wake up quick, so I’d suggest get some narcotics and tranq arrows. Kibble would be the fastest way, Dodo Kibble is probably the best.

It's fun to do a barrel roll with them but be careful! It costs alot of stamina and there's a chance you might knock your Pteranadon out midair, causing you to dismount and both of you crashing to the ground below. If you're alive, you need only to wait for him/her to wake up or feed them stimberrys. Always keep an eye on your stamina bar and find safe spots to land and catch it's breath before taking flight again. :D

First get a bow and tranks.

Second find and knock out.

third let it starve then give it tameing food.

Then you got your self a pteranodon.

Tek bow is usually one hit for any level.

All you need to tame this is a bola and if you complete the kill three dilos quest you get a really good bow so use that to knock it out easily in one shot knock out

Very effective as a fighter when you aren’t high enough lvl to get the saddle and can carry a little stuff for when your busy putting your upgrades into more useful things like speed, because we all know speed is essential to any escape maneuver, or jumping off cliffs, the AI doesn’t like that.

If you want to tame these guys my style you need to: 1. Find a pteranodon,2. Hit and follow it (P.S hit it until it gets unconscious). 3. Feed them raw meat, ( and to make the torpor stay high, you need about 100 or so of the bio-toxins, 4. Name and put a saddle on it.
