“Torpor low” Hah u funny.

Only took me 13 kinble for my 150

So I have a level 44 pteranodon, I named him terry. He was a weak tame but I had him for most of my game, he is the king of the territory I live in, he has killed a couple alpha raptors, countless brontos and diplos. Plenty of Rexs Carnos and raptors, I painted his saddle pink cow I thot he was a female, he’s a male. I might repaint it, but for now it’s pink.

The easyest Way to tame One is to bola him and Shoot him with a crossbow 3 times

Barrel roll on PlayStation Is done by clicking R3. (The right thumbstick.) It does use up a lot of stamina so use It wisely.

CARNIVORE: attacks most things around it when not tamed, or only attacks in packs - only eats meat

HERBIVORE: runs from any thing that attacks it, or only attacks things that attack them - only eats plants, like crops and berries

OMNIVORE: runs from anything that attacks it, or only attacks things that attack them - tame with meat, eats meat AND plants while tamed

Im very sure that pteradons are omnivores. The Dododex says they are carnivores, but I can explain why they arent:

They arent aggressive. If it only ate meat, it would attack things to survive. But it doesnt, because it can survive off of plants, so what's the point in killing things?

I may be wrong though. Pteradons have sharp teeth for eating meat, and no flat ones for grinding plants, so I definitely could be wrong :v

The way to test this theory is to tame a pteradactyl and when its hungry feed it a berry. If its hunger goes up, then it is able to eat berries and its totally an omnivore yay im smart but if nothing happens you can yell at me for wasting your time but then MAYBE YOU SHOULDNT HAVE READ THIS! HMPH! My times wasted, too, ya know.

I recommend only levelling up the stamina before you have a saddle so when you can ride it has good stamina, I did this it helped a lot

How to Tame a Pteranodon:

1. Get a wooden club, about 3 bolas, some meat and maybe even some narcoberries (if they are the black ones)

2. Find a grounded Pteranodon and bola it.

3. Knock it out with the wooden club.

4. Feed it and if needed whack it with the club a few more times to keep it unconscious. Remember to keep an eye on it's health. Guard it as well from any creatures which may attack.

After a few minutes you should hopefully have a Pteranodon! I hope this was helpful!

All you need is a bola, slingshot, and rocks for the slingshot

You can use a bola on it

And it can fly it is very fast

Make sure yours has good stamina or stop frequently because they will kick you off if they don’t get rest to regain some stamina, I was just kicked off of mine when exploring had to go into creative to get back on it

I tamed a pteranodon (level 27) I don’t get it how people hate the pteranodon and it’s one of the top 10 flyers of ARK and it doesn’t matter if it has Low stamina it’s still good .

Great for use with classic flyers, high speed and attack and you've got a good rex killing army

When one is landed, bola and tranqs works really well to knock it out. Use a spyglass to check the level first. The higher, the better.

Shoot it with tranq in the head

. Arrow 2 usually does the trick

Get a bola,nock it out,feed it up,then it's yours for the count

Make sure to starve tame, I knocked out lvl 150, left to my boat to get kibble and turned around to find a pack of allosaurus emerge from the woods gnawing on it. So I didn't lose anything except for some arrows .

Build an elevated taming pen with gates that open inwards and a roof. Take a flier and lead the pteranadon in with the rare flower buff. Once it wears off the pteranadon will usually lose interest, and you can shut the door and knock it out, the bird is completely safe, and you can starve tame it without worrying about it waking up and flying away.

If ya want to get one, then just get a bola, look for a lvl 55<, and bola it. Should take about 7 or so headshots, then get the meats ready. Afterwards, it's a very very good mount to use for a beginner, but they are also very easily lost. Good luck, keep flying!!
