One time me and my pteranodon name mint fly around and I accidentally fall on the ground I was shock because there was a carno and a Rex my pteranodon saving me by killing both of carno and Rex.

Trry using a bola then whack it-super easy

Use them to fly on top of a cliff or high rock to easily knock out large herbivores or carnivores with tranq arrows or darts

Make a taming room with dino gate and door. Eat a few rare flowers and fly over the jungle to agro a few pteras. Fly back to room, dismount and enter the room with pteras following. Shut gate, exit door, wait for buff to drop, safely tame at your leisure.

If you just got to lvl 38, tame a low level pt or the first one you find. Get some bola’s like 8-10 incase any predators come to hunt you or eat you’re knocked tame. Feed it some meat. Use this Pt to look for a higher level pt(250-300) depends on you’re server settings.

quick tip:If you are in Highlands on Rag then chances you might have a horse, a very easy way to knock out PTs is to bola the PT and then use the right click ability on the PT as it applies a good amount of torpor. Up so the bobs can see!!

Can anyone tell me why I have no flying animals and I’m level 92 because on lost island the only pt I have found was flying above water and I live right beside a mountain but it’s unclimbable up= use the path up the mountain and get eaten by sabers and Carnos down= do nothing about it

If you do not have a bola on you, it always work to pick up an egg and piss off the parents. That’s how I have tamed a couple of my pteras and it works surprisingly well. They don’t fly away after taking so much damage, and they don’t do a lot of damage either as long as you have armour. (It also works to make a doorless hut and punch ‘em or something)

Use a bola on a landed pteranodon use any trank device then put meat in inventory at least 8

Great bird I use mine for transportation and gathering metal since I don't have a Argy yet and I have gotten swarmed by argys and raptors on the island by volcano and he took care of them by the time I got back from my base with my lower level one.

Simply upgrade Stamina and weight for metal runs or upgrade Health and mele damage for combat

There a great bird I usually tame a 150 with kibble and level it's stamina and health to 2000 then a little movement speed then the rest into melee
