They are not completely scared of you if you take his egg they will chase you and being a pterosaur (flying reptile) they are very hard to escape though its not as bad as stealing a trike egg my pteranodons Jurassic Triassic and the other pteranodon I didn't name yet killed it and got me some hide and meet so if you really want a pteranodon egg just tame a female pteranodon

Bola it

Use Club or tranq arowws

Feed him meat

Saddle

And thats lt

The pteranodon is a good flyer until you can get your hands on a better flyer.

How to tame a pteranodon:

1 - get bola

2 - find pteranodon

3 - bola pteranodon

4 - knock out pteranodon

5 - place meat, narcotics and berries

Boom now you have a pteranodon

For solo players: tame a breeding pair of dodos, grow some rockarrot, make the kibble and tame a high level, its literally the easiest conventional kibble to get

To tame a P.T (pteranodon) use bola and tranq or sling shot it I recommend you to complete the dilo quest and get mastercraft bow if your in mobile, if your in mobile tranq it, and put meat in, or dodo kibble/prime meat. If you want it extremely quick get a soothing balm from tributing the artifact of the hunter

Bola it then knock it with tranq arrows then feed it raw fish meat lots of it like at least 40 a full stack also bring a saddle before you tame it I learned that the hard way R.I.P pteranodon.

When you tame one look around for dilophosaur cuz they will attack it so if you can’t kill them easily look out for them

Always use mutton, I can’t stress this enough it’s so easy to get and completely worth it

Shoot them with rocket it gives them so much topor they don’t wake up.....ever

when you knock a pteranodon out you need to stave it to the recomended amout of food.after this you want to put the food in the inventory and wait for it to tame but make sure you have spare meat in the birds inventory. this it good for if the kibble runs out you bave back up to not loose taming effecince. If you are a beach bob and on a easy server TAME ONE AS SOON AS YOU CAN GET A BOLA because you can level it up with a lystro so when you get a saddle you will probably have the highest level pt on the game ( if your on single player).

Great starter tame for pvp, very nimble. If you are in air combat against a wyvern, griffin etc you can pick them off their mount and drop them. I’d say one of the best tames for pvp!

Look for a higher rated one of you are looking to ride otherwise you will take forever to get its weight up to anything even remotely usable. Once upgraded theyre pretty quick in the air.
