The quickest way to tame it and knock it out is by getting a really good bow from kill dilo quest

Make in the very least 5 dodo Egg Kibble (parasaur gets carrots better)

Use a Bola to keep it still,and tranq it

Give it the kibble and inba few minutes you tame it

(Meat works but it takes 1 hour or longer)

Easy Way to tame Ptera high lvl 140 in solo medium play

1.go to herbivor island and searching ptera high lvl

2.sleep near ptera

3.ready your bolas and knock out ptera

4.feed it + narco or bio toxic

5.now you have your ptera high lvl

I have died countless times because of stamina. To fix that you have to have stim berries at all times! If you feed the pt stim berries it will regain stamina. Although it takes away your dinos food it will save you on dying situations 👍 😎 🆒️

Ight so find one,shoot it with a tranq the pump narcotics into it,some raw meat,if torpor is low,pump some narcotics,go back and make more,pump more narcotics in(also I'd recommend making the saddle first,already went through that hell)and let it tame,it will take a while,but it'll. Be worth it,they can fly so fast of ya always upgrade movement speed,weight,and stam.

If you build a pen you can bring small Dino’s and tame them or you could hatcth danguorus Dino’s

How do you tame a Pteronodon?

-Knocking out and taming-

Well first you need to find one and be sure it's a high level. It's not too hard finding one because their mostly flying everywhere. But before you start to tame it, make dodo kibble first (on mobile and console only). When you have found the one you want use a bola on it and knock it out, I recommend tranq arrows which can be unlocked at level 21 (I think). Then feed it with the dodo kibble you made and wait a few minutes, make sure you have narcotic on you just in case.

-Stats-

If it's a low level it doesn't have much health, stamina, or weight carry so I recommend you finding a high level one. Even tho they don't have much stamina or health, they are very fast and can get around the island very quickly, tho you might have to make frequent pit stops.

-Tips-

1. You can do a barrel roll with a Pteronodon. To do this go to settings and choose right multi-tap then choose "reload/alt attack 2".

2. You can pick stuff up with your Pteronodon, tho you can only pick up dodo's and dilo's.

How to tame Pteranodon without the smoothing balm!, it's easy↓

Materials: Need to tame Pteranodon faster:

1) Make Tranq arrows at least according to your weapon power (example your bow give damage of 350 of 1 hit and 1160 of Torpor).

2) Carry a sleeping bag.

3) Make a dodos kibble at least 10 and carry 40-80 raw meats.

4) Make a Bola.

You are ready to tame now↓

First find some good level Pteranodon and make sure there are no carnivores dinos.

And then wait for midnight watch on your dino when Pteranodon come down for a rest to fill his stamina then place your sleeping bag near to visible between you and Pteranodon and then go to sleep

When you wokeup then immediately bola to Pteranodon and knocked him out

You will see (Pteranodon foods stats is 0) his health will be draining that time then put your dodos kibble in Pteranodon inventory after put raw meats

Just wait 5-7 mins!

Now it will tame faster ⚡without smoothing balm even🙂

Best early game tame. Can fly very quick. Pump weight and stamina. Boom. You got a quicker fella that can bring you anywhere with extreme speed.

Easy tame guide for mobile grab two bolas in case you miss one get 12 narcotics. A bow and four tranqs with some uncooked meat or fish meat Bola the pteranodon then tranq the beast. give it the meat a narcotic every now and then. Say hello to the beast that’s now yours and just like that you have a good tame. saddle at level 38. Go to settings right multi touch and click reload/attack2 use two fingers to click and use barol roll .

How to tame you will need a bola,a wooden bat any type of meat and bio toxin/narcotics when it’s on the ground throw the bola at it and hit it with your bat now when it’s unconscious feed it your meat and wait a little then if it’s almost conscious feed it your bio toxin/narcotics you need to kill Cnidarias for bio toxin and you will need the mortar and pestle to get the narcotics unlocked now look at your area to see if there are any carnivores around if there is kill them now you have a pterodon

Pts can barely fit though regular single doors unlike the Dododex says.

I’m on ragnarock, and I found a 140 and I somehow knocked it out with 2 tranq arrows? I’m assuming this is a glitch but it was a good one I guess because then I tamed it up with mutton and named her hetty thank the ark gods 🙏
