Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a plesiosaur? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a plesiosaur.
To the person who was wondering where they spawn on the island they
Spawn near the edges of the map
Before you tame! This things bite radius is hooorrriibbllleeeeee. Do not tame in hopes of having some beast of the ocean. While it is strong, good luck getting it to actually bite something
Fairly effective and safe way to knock most scary sea life:
Take a high lvl, high hp tame like a dunky, basil,or lvld mega
Find target and gain agro
Place “tank” between you and target.
Let target start munching while you attempt to land shots while it goes ham

A lvl 80 plesi cannot take on mantas.I found out the hard way
First you need go to ocean using a sarco is which is pretty bad idea since it can’t fight back just make sure you killi every near it you don’t need a trap sarco and ichy just swim and knock it out feed it kibble and you have fastest creature in the whole game
All of these tips are to complicated
Just net it and use crossbow or harpoon tranq bolts easy peasy
Hint: if you use bolts bring 2 harpoon guns 1 for nets one for bolts so you’re not switching and reloading your only harp gun. Easy solo tame
I recommend using icthy because it’s fast and u can easily dodge the attacks
For Ark Mobile: get urself a basilosaurus if u can't unlock the scuba set. Find it and then stay a little bit away from it and it can be done easily with tranquilo arrows and a crossbow. Get some Rex kibble or meat
I was trying to tame one and my icthy killed it. Stupid icthy
I knocked out a female lvl 11 in ark mobile and found a male but then I glitched into his tale and died and died together ,🙃
It it's level is more than 100 you should go with 70 Arrow and I prefer you should use sarco to tame
My tip for taming these things (on mobile) is get a manta and a basil to tank dmg crossbow toxicant tranq arrows use lazoris powder then when the plesiosaur begins to torp run get put your basil on neutral get on your manta and chase him down
its pretty easy if its a low level i recommend if you want to tame a low level use a ichthy but uf its a high level you need a harpoon gun and a low level need a crossbow.
To the guy from December 2020 whom talked about the no air pursuits
Get it right, man
A no air is hard without cheese (cheese strat at the end of this)
B lazarous chowder isn’t good. Scuba tanks are waaaay to easy to get at the point you unlock the pursuit. (Around lvl 75)
C it isn’t always mastercraft it depends on difficulty you we’re lucky enough to get a mastercraft on easy or medium.
Cheese: make a bed at one of the underwater caves, then put all your stuff in a chest or box, after, kill yourself or teleport to the bed, once your there, you may want to swim a little further. And boom your done. (Maybe teleport a strong or fast water mount down to you, are if your in multiplayer, teleport a sarco, Baryonyx, spino, or diplocaticous down to the bed.)
Writing this right after taming one.
Build 4 behemoth gates in an open safe-ish area on the ocean floor with one gate at either end. Open one gate, make sure you have room to swim in between the gates with an Ichthy. Have the plesio follow you through, swim behind and close the gate. Tranq, feed, tame. Easy.
Tame a average or above basilosaurus, then set to passive. Let the plesiosaur attack while you use harpoons.
If you grab one with a tuso you can have a friend knock it out and you won’t loose taming effectiveness
guide on how to tame a plesiosaur: I used my 20 k basilo for this, so go up until the plesio stops aggro, if it doesnt aggro after a certain depth. thats perfect, now all you need to to is go a little bit deeper next to the plesio, whistle my 20 k health tame and let it soak. now i used my basilo because of its regen, so it will stay alive for years. anyways, i shot it with my ascendant BOW instead of crossbow because since the basilo is tanking the hits, its distracting the plesiosaur. So I dont really need to move, then i sucked more oxygen from the diplocaulus and kept shooting and finally the plesio swam away, then a few moments later it gets knocked out and boom. you got a plesio ;) (I also used a taming balm, rex kibble because im mobile, and some prime meat and fish meat)
Baryonyx are very good for knocking them out since you can shoot off them
If you’re on Genesis, get it to run into a bubble. Then it’s very easy to knock out.
