What is a pelagornis used for? pelagornis battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
These things do a lot of damage to all fish including jelly’s. They are very useful for collecting toxins. My tamed pela on brutal one shots most jellyfish that has like over 1k health. This bird is perfect for making lots of toxicant arrows. They harvest lots of polymer from young penguins. Great tame for finding otters. These birds are very underrated. I also soloed an alpha carbo with one by luring it in the water and using my speedboat bird to kill it
Once upon a time Pelagro was bullied in school for being a figure skater. The antagonistic Rex proclaimed "Anywhere, anytime dweeb!". So, Pelagro suggested the bully tried to fight Pelagro on ice, where he was very suddenly outmaneuvered, and Pelagro kicked Rex's butt. Point is, if you're using this thing to kill fish, you've only scratched the surface. Capable of killing any land bully if close to deep water.
I bring great news: after years of neglect the Pelgo has received the necessary ,secret, visual TLC. The oversized gannet has received a visual face lift that makes its beak more, natural looking, and even giving it passive head movement animations. Apart from that, the
Pelgo remains unchanged in performance, the underrated starter that can carry more than a Ptery; go for longer than a Ptery and the only flier that can land on water. It is one of the most surprising tames in ARK.
As a flying mount it's not too shabby. It's stamina regens pretty fast, can "swim" on top of water and speed isn't so bad. However this thing shines the most in polymer gathering. I've killed baby kairukus with this thing and it gathered a crazy amount of it its not even funny. Tame these guys for their polymer gathering capability
The pelagornis can be very useful for helping get players or dinos across piranha infested waters. Since they do 10X more damage to piranhas, coels, and salmon, they can be used to clear out swarms of them in rivers or swamps. You can then safely cross the water without needing to worry about piranhas killing your friends or dinos. Make sure to be aware of other dangers in the water such as sarcos, spinos or megalodon.
