Tips & Strategies

If tamed they only eat fish meat and not regular meat ? Mine died from starvation I was confused. If they can’t eat reg meat let people see this ! :(
They are found around the beaches, and aren’t as good as other rideable flyers. There only use is organic polymer and fishing. I think that it’s saddle should be learned before the pteranodon’s.
How to tame one:
Step one: craft 3 bolas and make tranq items +narcotics bc they might try to wake up.
Step 2: find one on the beaches.
Step 3: bola it.
Step 4: use your tranq items (wait five seconds per shot you’ll just do damage if you don’t)
Step five: shove fish meat down its throat.
Step: 6 Use narcs if it tries to wake up.
Step six: wait until you can craft the saddle.
Up so noobs can see.
These dinos are probably the starter flying Dino. If your a starter, just bola, shoot tranq arrows (6-10) and then feed raw fish! It’s really good at flying too! Like so the starters can see this!
To the people who are annoyed about the fish diet, Pelagornis can float on the water and swim with you on it instead of getting dismounted forcefully like any other flier. They can murder fish that way if you have a few minutes of your time and a good, lively pond or river.
Mine was killed by a Xiph (Ark Additions creature, mod) and she was the best otherwise.. thank you for reading and Midnight also thanks you for taking another one like her! 🪶
They collect large amounts of organic polymer from baby penguins
Guys dont listen to them telling you that you dont have to use narcotic because I just tamed one and you need SIX NARCOTICS just to tame this bird!
Bola it, then just trank it :)
When leveling up your pelagornis, head to the water. Tilt the head down and start killing fish. The pelagornis harvests the meat as it kills them, and does multiplies damage to fish.
I LOVE THIS
As long as u up its stamina and weight it is as good as, if not better than, a pteranodon.
BUOYANCY FOR THE WIN!.!!
You can tame with cooked prime fish meat
