Place Mejoberries in the far-right hotbar slot, trap the Pegomastax in a small pen, and let it steal them from you for a passive tame. Stay nearby and keep berries ready, since it steals repeatedly and loses taming progress if left unattended; vegetables and kibble generally do not work.
