They'll steal everything but your affection. Thank God it prefers stuff in your last hotbar slot. Put crap in there and laugh as it runs off thinking it's very clever.

When tamed, they can pick-pocket other players. If you get on of these early game, use it against other players. Just make sure you can get away without dying. (Also, they can ride on your shoulder, making them a nice companion to have. After pick-pocketing someone, put it on your shoulder and run away with the goods)

You can either put berries in your last item slot and let it steal it or you can actually just knock it out and ko tame it

They pick-pocket berries and tame themselves. Once tamed, you can carry him on your back.If you get in a sticky situation throw him off your back and he'll attack enemies. I carry him into my base and throw him off my back and he hangs out like a pet. 🥰

Honestly I accidentally tamed about 50 if these. Definitely run away when you see one!

Simple way to tame them is go to the ragnorock deserts and then have mejoberrys and you will most likely find some at the entrance. Good luck

I would definitely tame some because if you’re getting raided a pego could steal there last bar slot loot so not as good as the bird but is annoying also I recommend pumping speed and health see you in the next tip ;) - A.L.N.A

If you’re tired of getting robbed of gear try this. Put spoiled meat as your last item in your hotbar and carry a few stacks of meat. They’ll typically take your spoiled meat since it’s the last item and you’ll replace it over and over.

So, I don't know why, but me and my sister tamed one when it got stuck under our triceratops. I think it was stuck, but we just slapped it and that tamed it. The thing is, I had spent fifteen minutes before hunting down one with my bow and hatchet that had stolen my sheild. I really hate them in the wild. They suck.

Many if not all ground mounts don't protect you from being robbed, so while I used to argue that a fast raptor is as good as a bird you'll have an empty inventory when you get there soooo I guess the fun's over
