These things are pretty smart, credit where credit is due. I was travelling tge beach with my longneck rifle (unloaded as of yet) and a pego jumped forth and stole something from me. I didn't check what it was I just instictavly shit my gun at it and I hear to my horror a hollow click. The damn thing stole my ammo. (EDIT: I then switched to crossbow and shot him dead anyway so not so smart.)

Always carry some mejoberries when wondering around as they will steal the berries and nothing else

They are way worse then they seem. They will actually attack your dinosaurs, and this has caused me to lose a passive pterodactyl...

They sneak up silently, grab whatever is in slot 0, and run. I swear they have more health than turtles, and some run like raptors on coke. Love these things!

The best way to ensure nothing useful is take is to have a stack of berries in your last slot. This will cause the game to think you're trying to tame it, and it will steal the berries. If you want to you can start taming afterwards, but they won't steal your water and run off into a bush.

Make sure you don't care about the item in your last slot so always Carry berries in last slot😄

The most annoying creature of ark. They steal your stuff and on top of that, I've only been able to recovery my things 25% of the time.

If it gets near you, it will attack and take 1 of your items so I recommend killing it fast

They steal berry's,bullets,arrows,and eggs so stay on gard and fight them off with swords and pikes

Just ignore it, it's hard but just do it. If you just started or got killed watch out for these guys though. If they can't steal anything they will keep jumping on you until your dead.

One of the best ways of tackling this annoying dino I found is, if your aim is good enough, to bind it with a bola. Since it charges straight at you on sight, connecting the throw is relatively easy. The time the animal spends with its legs tied is usually enough to poke even high-level (100+) ones to death with a spear. BEWARE: the bola somehow doesn't prevent it from using its pouncing/robbing attack, so approach it from the side.

If your quetz ever is getting attacked and you dont know by what just let it die because there is a chance that you could also have your ascendant longneck dissapear to find nothing but bullets in the pegomastax's inventory

May not be helpful, but while I was taming a Rex, it needed to eat one more prime (which I had in my inventory, it had normal meat) one of these guys walked up stole it and while I was chasing Rex woke up killed my lvl 78 quetz and I kept saying, "Pegomastax u b*tch!!!!!

Son of a batch stole my first and only glass jar of water. Easier to just stay on dino and kill it if they are around.

This dino is just annoying
