I hate these things so much, I went to get some crystals, had to land my pteranodon to get its stam back, 3 of these things team on me and steal my narcotics and tranq arrows. I chased them into a literal death pit of carnos, dilos and sarcos and manage to get half of my narcotics back. I HATE THEM

Encountering them in the dungeon is the worst. I had a bunch of soups and health brews on me and then they took them all.

Was riding through the redwoods on my thyla looking for another thyla (for breeding) and I get attacked by a 2 pegos, I try to kill them and next thing I know the game is asking me to name my new pegomastix

+when they take your berries,just wait. It will say ‘you have tamed a pego!’ Yes,they tame themselfs. They are litarry free tames. But just make sure its berries….

Make a 2x2 pen. Find a suitable pego. Put mejo berries in your last hot key slot. Stacks of 20 work better than 100. If you have a whip, use it once the pego takes the berrries from you. It'll steal every 10-15 seconds so stay next to it. If it's not stealing try whipping it or jumping around it (that seems to make them think you're running away like in the wild). Bring extra berries just in case! Soon you'll have a thief of your own to use against raiders and noobs alike.

Hint: Once tamed put on your shoulder and find a target. Then use a spyglass and whistle attack target. Rinse and repeat as needed.

YOU MUST PAY THE TAX OF THE PEGOMASTAX ( they steal your stuff )

I play on SP and got a 160 Wyvern egg. I built a trap (4 B.Gate) for milk and went there to set the trap, stopped to recharge stam and this little fella just stole my gates. I couldn't chasing him, he went to the Red Woods and there's the cat on the trees. Really sad.

To tame it on mobile it have to steal mejoberries from you

Keep putting any type of berries in last item slot for it to steal just let it hit you until tamed

Pegos are pretty cute. It’s kind of funny to see them running off with a little sack of stuff. That is, until that sack contains your entire supply of narcotics. (How did he not die that had like fifty narcotics that’s like chugging two hundred bottles of Nyquil HOW)

These guys are awesome! Here are 2 pego stories once I stole a ramshackle pistol from my rival in an official server his name was YesImAPro and I caged him, and once I was in a server with 23 in my base with 2 on aggressive he took something from the raider and the guy hit it so the rest started attacking him XDD I won

I'm pretty sure it stole my cryopod and I never got it back.... Beware of the Pegomastax they're very annoying.

The only thing these littles devils are good at when they are wild is stealing your level 150 cryopodded poison wyvern

Do not carry anything valuable around these things the first time I ever got a pike this pegomastax ambushes me steals my pike and gets away

Really weird thing i noticed.. When i was playing ark and started new save, i noticed pegomastax ran into me, and boom. He is already tamed, he just normally ran into me and i had him already tamed and there was text: NAME YOUR PEGOMASTAX. Can someone tell me how? Because i had nothing in my inventory. Okay maybe stone items and spoiled meat but this was weird.. Maybe its bug or theres a way to tame him like this

Put them on wander and they will gather berries for you, just dont let it get lost.

I was running around with a full imprinted managramr in a cryopoad and a pegomastask stoke it then killed my mamagramr tip don’t mess with this guys

It is best to attack someone with 2 or more, as the first one will always steal the last slot in hot bar, wich is usualy trash.
