Should you find yourself in Pegomastax lands, always keep multiple stacks of Mejoberries, and place one stack on your 10th (0) hotbar slot. They love them Mejoberries and will often insta-tame with one stack (and sometimes get a decent amount back).

One benefit to having an instant tamed Pegomastax is if you should get attacked by another while you tamed the first, or are dealing with something else, your new tame will hunt down its pal to get your items back (talk about brutal betrayal).

If you don’t have a lot of Mejoberries, put trashy items or other berries in the 10th (0) hotbar slot, instead.

Stole a cryopod with a level 426 giga. Nuked that pego and every pego in the area. Not a single one dropped a loot bag.

Gimme summin on a giga? 40 raw meat stolen these guys are the bane of my existence and only exist to steal my cryopod and get accidentally tamed and subsequently shotgunned in the face

leave it in the corner of someones base and come back in an hour and take what it took

If you have a domesticated pego, ENABLE WANDERING, they can and will gather lots of seeds very quickly and they also gather Narcoberries.

These little buggers are annoying until you realise that they are an easy and efficient way of getting early game simple kibble. So go out gather a few stacks of Mejos, put said Mejos into zero slot and let them steal it from you. Easy simple egg tames.

3 Females and one Male should be a good starting amount.

You need to tame one and carry it around, they are good counter for troodons just bump some points into its health and damage

I downloaded the new mobile version only to encounter these things regularly on the beach.

Thought it was two very small dilos, for some reason, and I needed hide anyway. Ran up and they simultaneously pounced on me and killed me. Respawned, hunted them down and took my wooden cage back… why the heck did it take the wooden cage. I think it wants to be hated, but it also wants to be laughed at.

Put these in your base so if someone is trying to raid you, you they can possibly steal there explosives!

I have discovered the way to easy tame these things!! What you need to do is trap the pegomastax in a closed area and have two tribe members with a bunch of mejo berrys ( make sure you always have a stack of 100 in the last slot of your hot bar) make sure both of the tribe members are standing next to each other and when the pego attacks ( robs ) you it will hit both of you at once making the taming a lot quicker and easier !! You're welcome !

If you encounter these in the wild, make sure you have any item in your inventory or they will maul you to death faster than I would care to admit. It could be anything from berries to a shotgun however I would not recommend the second one. Also do not put your valuables in you last hot bar a lot or they will 100% steal the last slot. For those who want to tame a pego.

Firstly get some mejoberries (depends how much you get for each level)

Put the mejoberries in your last slot.

Find a pego,

Walk towards it, it will kinda pounce on you and take the mejoberries (careful, it takes other stuff from your inventory too)

Sweet! Now you have a pegomastax!!

Whenever one steals my berries and tames I pick them up with my Pteranodon and throw them into the ocean and watch them get swarmed by megs. It’s the only thing these are good for on PVE.

Passive tame, put a stack of 25 mejo berries on the far right slot of hotbar, follow pego and let it steal the stack from you refill slot and continue following until tamed, KIBBLE DOES NOT WORK.

These things are surprisingly good as an early game tame. They are mostly useless in pve, but are a great substitute when you can't find dilos. They're easy to tame and are surprisingly vicious when you up their speed and attack. I have a lv50+ I tamed at lv 19 (has only been a few hours since starting the save file). Since getting him, he's usually the first to attack and kill the target.

Playing on single player, I have a tamed one set to wander, but it doesn't seem to go far from my base. I'm not getting any cool items, but is producing a nice steady source of berries and seeds.
