Just tamed at level 15 and it took 500 mejoberries, tried a 135 but the taming bar dropped to zero before it stole another stack

These things will steal and eat an entire stack of kibble in one bite. It doesn't matter if it is on your bar or not. You won't get it back after you kill them.

I've noticed there is a chance they will tame after stealing goods from you while you stand still.

You tame it by putting berries in last slots and let it attack you

If you encounter a pegomastax hopefully it'll kill a dodo or something while it's around you because then it'll become tamed

If you spot one, empty your inventory except for mejos. Have some on you inventory and some on your hot bar and get close to it so it can just steal the mejos. And that's about it. Super easy, super fast!

It says mejos are the best but I tamed ten yesterday and any berry works. Not a single one of them went down from 100% effectiveness

Make it steal 30 metal walls so when it steals, it will be too much weight for it and will stay stuck

Make sure u only have berrys on u or make sure the berrys are in your last hot bar slot

When you see one only have megoberrys in your inventory and it's taming bar will slightly go up the higher the level the smaller it'll go up

The pegomastax will steal the most valuable thing

This is wrong, grab 1000 mej put this dude in a taming pen andnput mej in your last slot go up to him so he steals it then put mej back in slot and repeat, super easy to tame

Make a little taming pen like a thatch house or so, and put MejoBerries in your last slot make sure u have alot

Can use rare flowers to tame.

Had a few stacks of metal and a journeyman long neck stollen from me by a horde of them. Kill the little c***s. And if you dont have anything to steal in your inventory they will kill you.

Crops did nothing for progress. Find your target, go 20 ft down the beach and build a little 4x4 walled area. Lead it in and close it off. They are relatively slow and will agro for a good distance. They do a small amount of damage on stealing so make sure dinos arent on neutral(wyvern flames hurt). Full stacks of mejos in your 0 slot should do the trick in no time.

Have about 20,000 mejo berries on you. And blood packs. Nearly impossible to tame.

First, put the tame item in the zero slot; the pego steals the zero slot item first.

Second, the amounts given on the calculator are completely incorrect, a pego takes several stacks of mejos, more with levels. Additionally, it has the passive tame bug where advanced crops don't work, so don't even bother with them.

Finally, once tame a pego retains its inventory from during the tame, so if it took anything it didn't eat you can get it back, including any misspent advanced crops.
