ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Utility Tips

What is a parasaur used for? parasaur battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Pros
Can get caught by a bola
Really easy to tame and low levels can hold heavy weight
I have a LEVEL 17 and it can hold 600 weight
Has an ability to pinpoint and locate local threats
Their saddle’s craft-able at level 9
Cons
Their turret mode’s annoying when there’s things around you that are barely a threat like piranhas or compies
They’re slower than bigger threats like raptors
Have a small health pool
Their range is pretty small and can’t damage small creatures like compies when they attack the parasaurs underside
When you tame this never and I mean never only pump into one stat spread the points out between health, weight, stamina and speed. Don’t put any levels on melee damage, because if you do then it will get killed as it doesn’t do much damage even with about 10 extra levels of it.
Easy way to level up quickly:
Step 1: Tame one if these guys, level doesn't matter at all.
Step 2: Get raw meat and split the stack into ones so all spoil separately. You can add a new stack and it won't effect the timer.
Step 3: Mortar and Pestle, spam craft narcotics.
Step 4: Profit
For the person who was asking how to use radar on mobile. You know the attack button that is a fist? (Or something I can’t remember.) You see those arrows next to the fist? Those are the abilities. Swipe on the arrows where they are pointing and boom you used an ability. The two ability’s are radar and one where he just makes a noise I think.
•ULTIMATE PARA GUIDE
TAME:
•30 berries.
•One slingshot.
•Only use bat if you can repair it.
•Bola (Necessary).
They are not agressive. Just bola them and slingshot them on the head or knock them out with bat. Make sure to always hit the head.
Once knocked out put berries on it's inventory, majo berries preferred. Harvest bushes around if you don't have enough berries.
Make sure to always have a saddle before taming, they're quite useless without a saddle.
UTILITIES:
•Can harvest thatch pretty well and can also get some wood and berries.
•Are fairly fast.
•Can defend you from small threats.
Pros:
•High speed
•Can hunt things like dodo
•Quick taming.
•Quick breeding.
Cons:
•Will likely die to most dinos if attacked.
•Fairly low health and damage.
•Horrible for fighting
• DO NOT TRAVEL WITH IT. PARAS DIE TO BASICALLY ANYTHING.
BREEDING:
Build a two by two thatch house without roofs, enable wandering and let them do it. The egg dies pretty quickly so make sure to be around until they finishing mating as it's pretty fast.
HATCHING:
Needs 2 campfires, putting torch on egg recommend.
Hatches fairly quick, put about 50 berries on baby's inventory.
Make sure to imprint.
PROTECTING YOUR DINO:
Make sure you have a base with spike walls around your base as soon as possible, A para can be killed by literally anything, can't defend itself basically. Build a slopped roof and put them on the top of your house if you don't have spike walls.
Put at least 30 berries on your Para's inventory, make sure to replace the food each 4-6 days.
A quick guide for the single player ark mobile players out there :)
Taming - Use a bola and club/slingshot it in the face until unconscious. Then put berries (preferably mejoberries) and wait, no narcos necessary.
Saddle crafting - relatively cheap. Just kill a whack ton of dodos, dilos, and lystros to get 80 hide.
Utility - a good mount for travelling and carrying heavy materials.
Fighting capabilities - While having good stamina, it does not fare well against similar sized creatures, unless you have 2-3 - then you have a good chance against raptors and such.
This is a good mount for early game players looking to get from point A to point B
For anyone who may be less of a beginner here’s a tip for raiding: first tame a parasaur obviously. second tame argentavis/snowy owl. third put parasaur on turret mode so it pings enemies. Last pick it up and fly around with the argentavis/snowy owl and let it ping until you find enemy base. Also the parasaur doesn’t give exact enemy types ( like if it’s a player or not) so check every mark you see.
Wassup, the parasaur is perfect for exploring and scouting areas , this is mostly because of its weight which if you like collecting random useless stuff like me is perfect not to mention it's above average speed and its ability to scout areas it can also gather berries.
Finally I like to put ALL my points into health and weight so i can transport stuff easily, the drawbacks are that unlike the trike which has a giant hit box the parasaur requires aim to efficiently gather bushes .
i the end its the perfect beginner tame .
