the best place to find them is in redwoods..

1, clear out the area of any predators (titanos, carnos, etc)

2, no trap needed just run in big circles and shoot it..

3, make sure to have atleast a crossbow with 100 tranqs.

4, do NOT lead it into the water, they have bad oxygen stat if lead in.

5, once knocked out feed mejos/any berry

6, also put spikes around it..

Long story short it’s night right now will on ark and you know how every time you go in front of your tames head and they follow you? Yea,okay,okay anyway I went in front of the Paracerathium’s head every which way and it’s head didn’t move like it was sleeping! So yep think I found out a paracetharium bug. (I’m not quite sure so correct me and if I’m wrong please)

To op, took down a lvl 99 Thera terrorizing my home, did even loose 1k health, mine is lvl 26

I was taming one of these things then all of a sudden a spino spawned kill the my tame and me Afterwards I did the same thing and I brag my 5 muted raptors the next spino whoever spawned will be turned to shreds

I was going to go find a anky in the red woods (dumb decision) and I brought my 3 raptors Pillow, Ryi The 3rd, And Jojo The second. And I my youngest and weakest raptor, Pillow, got bit by a titaniaboa. So I waited there for it to wake up. Once it did we were going to go off to the redwoods when a carno started attacking a paracera. And it also attacked my raptor. So my raptors took it out but apparently my raptors got hit by the paracera, or my raptors hit the paracera, and the paracera killed em all! Then i died a lot. But I did tame a carno out of this experience!
