There're more of these on lost island then genesis 2 I think. They appear in just about every part of the map. Great for their wool too which you can sheer with scissors for a modest amount. If your plan is to ride them I wouldn't recommend it lol, they are quit slow and weak and the only one who can even carry you is one close to max level.

It drops pelt too Dododex and lots of it and the mutton is great for taming 1 sheep does an entire level 150 Rex and if tamed you get about 80 mutton

Get A LOT of them, they drop raw mutton (or cooked lamb chops, if you cook it), which dramatically speeds up MANY tames

Ovis are only really good for harvesting up for there mutton and wool.

Due to recent updates, Raw Mutton no longer tames faster than kibble, but won't drop the efficiency as much as before either.

Still, it is completely superior to Raw Prime Meat, taming faster, with higher efficiency and lasting 4 times as much before spoiling.

To collect the highest possible amount of Raw Mutton and Pelt from a dead Ovis, use a Chainsaw high in damage. Therizinos and Direwolves provide fast and material-free collection of those resources respectively, but won't gather a fraction of what a Chainsaw will from a single carcass before it disappears.

Once you find an ovis TAME IT THERE HARD TO FIND PEOPLE EVEN IF YOU DONT NEED ONE GET IT!!!!!

Lately I've had trouble harvesting mutton from baby Ovis.

Step 1. Buy Ovis from biggest tribe

Step 2. Shear ovis

Step 3. Make fur armor

Step 4/5. Go to north and tame more ovises, for infinite mutton, which you can use to tame carnivores faster than any other meat.

I pretty sure you can ride these sheep once tamed but I could be wrong

On Consoles (Xbox and PS) they give tons of mutton.
