I tried to knock it out with my slingshot... Poor thing died in one hit

On mobile they’re much rarer but easier to tame. All you have to do is passive feed it fish meat, instead of feeding it the actual fish like pc/ console

You find otters in rivers near swamps and there a passive tame so you can just follow them while feeding them. Tip if you have god console level them up while following so they become more hungry and more powerful!

I got a otter by raw fish meat no fish

I can feed them sarco egg kibble too

Don’t let it eat anything, shot compy(s?) by my 60% tamed one and it reset and kept taming effectiveness ;-;

Tanning effectiveness is wrong for a lv60 each 1.0 piranha gives about 5%

Be sure to kill all aggressive creatures in the area before taming. I lost my 92% otter in a fight with a Baryonx

I found 2 of them and when I encountered them to tame them, both got eaten by a piranha. :(

I had an Otter and named him Scarf. He completed my fur armour and kept me snuggly and warm on trips to the snow.

I got ambushed by an alpha raptor and we both died. I will replace my beloved Scarf.

I have used them with no armor in the snow and in the valcano and do not over heat or freeze. Best shoulder mount imo.

I have found the otter keeps me warm in the northern edges of the map, it seems to give about 82% of the melee damage on it into insulation

These guys are cute but you dont want to get to close to an otter. They are very capable of ripping your face off, and they will do it.

For anybody playing on mobile, it’s just a passive tame with raw fish meat and raw prime fish meat.
