if you level their damage they will gain more black pearls from killing Fishes + They will get more body heat. If they have enought body heat you will easily be able to survive in the snow Biome fully naked while having an Otter on your shoulder. If you level their damage up even more they will also be able to BREAD all eggs up to WYVERN EGGS!

Seems that they can't gather Black Pearls from Thusos, at least on Crystal Isles.

In mobile no otter can hold more artifact n sometimes to tame otter even if i killed a fish and drag along the way n try to feed and it doesn't work only kill a fish n get a meat put it in hot bar it does work that way. I don't believe such what people say🤦

I'm currently breeding for mutations! I have my first mut of any dino on one of these guys , brown with a white underbelly and a cyan strip on his back! I'm trying to get more but I'm getting laazzzyyyy...ive only gotten this color twice , once on a male that I named 1st Mut bc I have no imagination, and on an identical female that I named Splashy Hybrid (I already have one called Splashy with regular colors) Currently gestating 2 more that I bred! Sad thing happened today: so me and my baryonyx were sort of “trying” to tame one of these guys right? I tried to sort of guide it to land because I was scared that piranhas would attack us if I dismounted... Long story short; I accidentally tapped the screen and well my bary striked and... well the rest is pretty clear.. I killed the otter and then I ran around on my dino and started to murder snakes, crocs and stuff like that to get rid of my guilt. I feel a bit better now..

I tried to knock it out with my slingshot... Poor thing died in one hit

On mobile they’re much rarer but easier to tame. All you have to do is passive feed it fish meat, instead of feeding it the actual fish like pc/ console

You find otters in rivers near swamps and there a passive tame so you can just follow them while feeding them. Tip if you have god console level them up while following so they become more hungry and more powerful!

I got a otter by raw fish meat no fish

Don’t let it eat anything, shot compy(s?) by my 60% tamed one and it reset and kept taming effectiveness ;-;

Tanning effectiveness is wrong for a lv60 each 1.0 piranha gives about 5%

Be sure to kill all aggressive creatures in the area before taming. I lost my 92% otter in a fight with a Baryonx
