I have 6! 4 of them are common colors, 1 is green and magenta, and the other is pink and purple!

Okay, so the way I tamed them is simply by first: kill any dinosaurs near it or in range of otter, next eat a rare flower, then it will come up to you and nibble on your argy (preferred mount cuz it can pick up the otter in beak), then use a ithyornis (or a weapon to kill the sabertooth salmon if you don’t have a ithy yet), then drag the magical (or less magical) fish over to the otter and feed it!

Worked 10/10 for me (it can get a bit annoying when the fish keeps getting in your face)

Ark Mobile: If you're able to I highly recommend a mining cap for the otter. Makes it easier to find and an amazing night light. If he's on your shoulders the light works best in third person. That way you can still wear a good helmet, still see at night, and still have your weapon out.

Try to tame it when you mount the araneo(the spider) it well be easy tame and just use some shooting balm

Guys!!!! Otters DO keep u cool in heat waves and other places. Tested it by going into the volcano w my otter. Not sure if it works in scorched earth, (haven't left the island yet...) Up so peeps can see!

One thing I see people haven't been talking about regarding these cute little guys is that their insulation also makes for good egg hatching. Of course, for max efficiency for this you need a group but they do help!

To tame hold fish in your other hand and go up to it click or tap the fish then in a few minutes you will get an otter

Once tamed, keep on hunting even at least coelacanths at first. I had one which for some reason despawned. When he slaughters a fish (any fish) he takes at least 4 silica pearls and for every 3-6 fishes he kills he gathers at least 1 or at best, 3 black pearls. Very useful at all times, especially at the tundra.

2. Tame argy and get saddle

3 kill fish ( on mobile feed it actual raw fish meat )

4. Find one in river near redwoods

5. Argy it and tame your it in pen

If u kill this guy and admit it I we'll take my otter army and watch them beat u and your tame PS there at max level

Good enough fish hunter, though not as effective as Ichthyornis since it can’t one-shot fish & doesn’t give them a prime boost. However, it can get silica & black pearls when killing fish. If it has pearls, you’ll be notified by an animation.

They can keep u warm when on your shoulder.
