Tranq it down to 50% torpor, then mount it and roll the biggest snowball of your life! (include ice spikes/patches and other dinos in the ball to sucessfully tame)

Tranq it till it gets dazed, then ride it while rolling up small dinos to increase tame percent. Rolling up dinos that are too big knocks you off

Easily killed by high level veilwyn using call friends

You can defeat one using call friends whistle with veilwyns.

Bring a snow owl and heal the ossi if it's health gets low. Remember to bring med brews, trust me you'll need them. Focus on the icicles first, then get the small dinos. When tranqing it, do it while on a desmodus. When it's dazed fly close and jump of desmo right on its back and mount. Takes a bit of time to tame but don't give up, you'll get one.

It has a Drag weight of 550, which is the same as a Rex. This means Rhyniognatha should be able to carry it. Could be useful for taming it so you can bring it to a safer location

Alright friends first review and taming of the ossidon.

1. Shoot it till it gets to Half torpor (Usually 6-10 shots with tranq darts).

2. Ride it around hitting all the spikes and rolling over all the dinos it tells you to the left and right of the taming bar.

3. Make sure to kill all dinos bigger than an argy.

4. If you have a tribemate have them clear the road of big dinos including yutys they will stop the ball from rolling.

5. Make sure to kite ossi into an area full of corpses to get it's health back to full.

6. Shoot all over again to half torp.

7. Rinse and repeat and enjoy your new metal monkey.

8. Oh last but not least in order to get it to 100% taming you have to try and get both spikes and ball tames all the way up to max.

So far I’ve found using a Long neck and tranq darts to get it to the point where it starts to stumble and a blue ring appears over its head. Once it does that you hop on and ride it smashing these ice crystals that it shoots out. You also have to roll smaller creatures inside the giant ball of poo it rolls. The higher the level the Ossidon the more Ice crystals you have to smash and more creatures you have to roll up. I found that a level 35 I had to smash 18 crystals and roll up 8 creatures. Once you do that it pops you off and you have to repeat the process. You only have 1:50 to ride it around regardless of level

You must torpor it with a harpoon launcher for max torpor. Then you mount it. The beast rolls up a ball. With the ball you must roll over a certain amount of dinos and get the crystals the beast shoots. Rinse and repeat.

They are extremelyanned to time.

Step 1 Get rhyn And grab monkey

Step 2 Relocate monkey by flying backwards because he won't attack.

Step 3 Drop 'em in a preferred area, a open flat space.or a custom made pen to drop creatures in.

And begin tame and process note. Mammoths and other large carnivores will break your ice ball. You need to Hit a quota. This is all the information I can provide

You need to shoot it with shocking darts tranquilizers etc, once it gets to half torpor you need to go and ride it. then just run around whilst it creates a massive snowball and you need to roll up small dinos with, if you try to roll something too big it will dismount you. The effectiveness goes down alot im not sure how to get better taming effectiveness yet.

Use zepplin to pick a wild one. Wont aggro

Also use pyromane/carbos for creatures to move around

Not breedable rip they are cool tho

The alpha ossidon is a boss on its own…

On Lost Colony tame a Bat and fly directly above it. Shoot it in the head preferably with tranq darts. Once it is in a daze land next to it get on top and balance the mucus ball rolling small dinos up simultaneously rolling over the icicles it launches. It will throw you off after the tiner ends or if you try and roll up something large like a mammoth or wooly rhino or structure. Repeat the steps above it will be way easier than trying to build a trap for it especially on an official server where the land is pillared to the heavens. GOOD LUCK SURVIVORS put at top.

Only use smaller tames for the ball, also collect the icicles. Likely dead before you find it.

Tranq to half of its max torpor, you will then be able to approach it and ride it. Then it will make a mucus ball, and ice spikes. Run the ice spikes over with the mucus ball. It will gain effectiveness, then it will kick you off and you repeat.

To tame tranq it till half full will do dizzy emote then hop on it, starts rolling snow ball collect spikes in snow ball, before u do it kill all wild dinos as everything agros it up this post to help others 👍🏼
