Kill the parents using a strong mount like a Thylacoleo, then claim the babies for easy Ossidion.

Glide suit, just use a glide suit. Saw a video someone used one, when it knocks you off you can just glide away, makes it easier.

Solo is hell, Duos is far easier. Use a Zeppelin to hover above, lower partner with grapple, tranq like that and drop them on it. Then they do its tame mini game, rinse and repeat. Zep keeps you both out of the way and can provide respawn if things go sideways. Solo is a good way to stress yourself into a stroke 🤣

You can use a mate with a snow owl to freeze heal it as you reapply torpor keeps it alive.... and your tribe mates count as small creatures i believe... more testing required

Easiest way is with two people. Bring longneck, shocking Trang darts if you have them. Something tank to protect and take hits like a Carcharodontosaurus, a snow owl and a tek suit. Person on carcha takes agro and clears area. Person with longneck tranqs it while using tek jet pack if you have one. As soon as it stuns person who is tranqing jumps on and rides it while charcha rider protects by taking out the larger wild dinos. Person riding Ossidon calls out when he is about to get kicked off and carcha once again takes agro. If needed at this stage person who is on tranqing duty should pull out a snow owl and heal the Ossidon by freezing him. Rinse and repeat

Not a boss, is tameable. Spawns in glacial areas, rare spawn chance. Size is gigantic.

Pretty easy tame with 2 people. Tanky dino with a good saddle helps. Giga/carch are tall enough to prevent rider from taking damage. Bring 5 carbo or similar tanky small dino (Stego and trike to large). Kite to a safeish location with a slope. Toss out the carbo a little bit away from the ossidon. Have your tribe mate take aggro with the tank suggest 30k hp with 70 plus Armour saddle. While you Trang. Jump on when its dazzed pick up the ice and carbo in the snowball rinse and repeat if lucky finish in 4 go on 1x.

tips don't do it downhill and avoid it getting stuck

To start the taming for the ossidon, you need to get its torpor halfway, then ride it. Collecting icicles and creatures into the ball will progress the taming & filling the quota bars will keep taming effectiveness after dismounted

How to tame the monstrous ossidon: you might wanna use a flyer or jet pack and just shoot down to half torpor til stars appear around its head then approach and ride it it will make a ball that you have to roll dinos into but dont try big dinos as it will ruin the ball and you will have to do the process again you may need to repeat this several times for it to tame

Easiest place to tame these is by far at the penguin pond at around 19,31 ish. I perfect tamed about 5 130+ on official today, so great place to tame - roll the penguins up and pick up the icicles on the flat ice and and hill nearby. Just don’t fall in the water…

1- Tranq till half KO

2- ride

3- collect the icicles it spits along with small/medium creatures

Repeat 1-3 till tamed

Side note: AVOID LARGE CREATURES! ex.: yuty, mammoth

To tame the ossidon, you will need something that does torpor and a bunch of time. After you get all that, go find your Ossidon. Now you’re gonna shoot it with whatever you have for torpor. Then shoot it till it’s at 50%. Once it’s stunned start riding it. Now it’ll start making a slime ball and it’ll be spitting out icicles. run over with that slime ball and pick up the icicles in the ball to start the taming. You have two minutes to do this before it forces you off. after you’ve been forced off, repeat the tour process and get back on and just repeat that till it’s tamed.

Tame the Ossidon by tranqing it, it won’t fall asleep but a blue halo will appear. Jumping its back. It will make a snowball and start firing icicles.

Pick up creatures and icicles to fill the bars for maximum effectiveness. There is a timer that will kick you off its back when it runs out.

If it is low health, let it kill and harvest something. It’ll get some health back

Tranq it until 50% torpor, once at 50% you'll see stars around its head, go up to it and ride it. While riding it, it'll shoot icicles that you can roll over for increased taming meter. You can also roll over small dinos to increase taming meter. I'm not sure on this but in order to increase taming efficiency you have to collect max icicles and dinos before the timer runs out.

Have to buy dlc to tame the ossidon

If you’re solo like me, take a pyromane and dodge the ice spikes.

Use two people, use a Rhynoganthia and move it to a safe area. One person tranq it on a griffon if possible or quetz, hop off and ride it when it’s stunned. Second person grab your bird tame while you ride it. Rhynoganthia can move any large enemies or pickup the ossidon if he’s being destroyed. When he’s hurt stand next to a dead body and he will eat it and heal.
