If you find one i suggest being on an ichy,you wont get attacked by it suggest waiting to see if it will get stuck in some rocks

If it does then start pelting it with tranq arrows

I tamed this guy by riding a itchytosaurus and tried to tranq it once it aggros me and my itchy lured it upwards then it stops chasing me then i try to shoot it again then repeat the process, once it run aways just chase it since it won't attack you anymore. I recommend an itchytosaurus because they can outrun the mosa. That's all hope it helps

If you want an easy way to tame it and don’t feel mind waiting a long time, grab it with a tuso and take it up near the surface of the water and hold it. It will knock out eventually but this will take a while.

145 x mosa took about 670 arrows to knock out genesis tames are crazy had to knock out lol took 6 and a half crossbows

I have learned that they are hard to find but when tou find them you should take them up far enough but when they stop chaseing you shoot it with tranqs and then repeat

Lost Island spawn at 79, 73. 5 behe gates for a trap. Kite with basilo or angler.

Use 5 behemoth stone Dino gates to make a trap and make sure you have a small space where your tame can escape. Then lead him in and close the gates. The just tranq the heck out of him and feed him kibble 👍

Step 1: Go to genesis part 2.

Step 2: In the eden zone, find a way into the underwater area that isn't the tek trench.

Step 3: Use your suit to fly around the ocean and find a decent mosa.

Step 4: Lead the mosa out through the place you came. If necessary, hover above the ocean in an air pocket and shoot at sharks, tusos, etc

Step 5: Lead mosa out of the ocean fully, and hover above the water to shoot it with darts.

Step 6: Load that bad boy or girl with mutton.

Step 7: Enjoy your easy mosa.

Use kibble and balm cause it makes it go insanely faster

A few tips for those who wanna tame one, but are terrified of wild mosa’s (like me) these are mainly for the island though

Tip #1. Grab an dolphin, nothing in the water agros on them (Except leedsycthys, but only if u attack them), and you can use weapons off their back

Tip #2. Make the dolphin really fast, it gives a bit of a confidence boost coz you know you can get away if you have too

Tip #3. Swim to the back of herbi island. Using tidy save, it’s really easy to find them coz there’s not much for them to hide behind, it’s also a liplurodon spawn, so……bonus

Tip #4. Traps! the basic rg trap but using behemoth gates works just fine

If you live on herbivore island or another aquatic location I recommend taming one for base protection and naval superiority

Fun taming. As they can not go up after a certain water level, you can lure it to the level and shoot couple of times before it looses interest on you. And when it looses its interest just go a bit close to it and it will start chasing you again and then you go up that water level and shoot again. Do this for a couple of times and you are done knocking it out.

Squids the way to tame this take it high and just afk

X-Mosasaurus get 60% damage resistance.So you need to prepare 2.5 times of tranqs items to knock down it.

if you are trying to knock out an X-Mosasaur bring at least 3x the tranqs listed, X-Dinos take 3x less damage from you and your tames so as a result they require 3x as many tranqs. I went through 550 tranq arrows and 5.5 crossbows to knockout a 135 and it took 30 mins of non-stop firing so you might want to build a trap. Btw X-dinos also deal 3x as much damage as a non X-dino of the same species I believe so beware!
