Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a mosasaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a mosasaurus.
The AI sometimes gets confused for me and starts swimming around me not even trying to bite even though I’m shooting it and the battle music is playing.
Everybody says to going to the height limit is the easiest way but I will always say this time and time again, USE A SARCO!!! Sarcos are the best way to tame anything under water other than a tuso. They are fast, use no stam, arent the best tanks but can get the job done, and most importantly you can shoot as the rider. Of course a better saddle helps but when in trouble you can outswim anything in the ocean.
On maps like ragnarok to build a simple pen use 5-6 behemoth in a way like ur making a wyvern trap.Easy trapping use an ichy in place of ptera and boom golden.(bring mega or other damaging underwater dinos to clear the area of any predators
Put a 2 beds covered by foundations on the front and rear of your Mosa. Be careful to spawn on the right bed in emergency situations
Build a bohemeth gate trap. Put bohemeth gates in a row with enough space to go through with a shark or dolphin. At each end put a door. Leave one side open, kite the mosa in and get off shark while mosa in trap agro'd. It will stay on shark, swim over and shut door. Easy I solo tame mosas. Also bring extra scuba and food for your time down there because their Torpor drops fast.
Tried to knock out a level 80 on Singleplayer with 3x boosted taming and I burned through 180 tranq arrows without knocking it out.
Easy mosa taming take out your Tusoteuthis find the mosa you want to tame right click to grab it then hall it off to a safe place and wait the mosa will build topor from the tusos hold and it can't hurt you while held after a sleep continue with regular taming also you will need at least 3 104 disability scuba tanks for the waiting or just have a friend come and tranq it
If possible find a place not not in the open. I tamed mine next to the borde, with a rock formation behind me. This way your exposed approach zone is minimized.
Make sure your water mount has a lot of health so it can bravely stay behind so you swim away upon seeing a Mosa
They cant imprint on ark mobile. Its bugged.
No, I don’t really know a lot about the dinosaur, but what I do know is that when trying to knock these things out, they will stay aggro on you for a very long time so it’s very easy to get them to shore where they cannot move and you can easily shoot them. I advise you to get a lot of heroes because these things do have high to torpo, but their torpo does not go down fast.
I just checked official servers 1x taming rate cooked fish meat gives zero percent taming to a 150 it's crazy
The safest way to knock it out is to get a fast water mount and make four gigantic Dino gateways and trap them like an argy it’s very expensive but it’s the safest way
Tame a mosasaurus by placing a behemoth gate and gateway to the left of the entrance to the underwater cave in Craig’s island and trap your mosasaurus and like a giga keep firing at it until it’s unconscious if your using kibble and balm and it’s a low level no narcotics needed like lvl 1-15 if higher use narcotics until it’s tamed
For ark mobile 5x taming using a 10x balm and 1-2 quetz kibble is enough for a lvl 450
Tek Bow on Tranq Arrows, Federation Suit from Gen 2 , 3000-4000 element shards and exceptional kibbles (15 of them on 3x events is choice for a higher lvl mosa**) and Voila
If your willing to get a tamed mosa with god console, I’ll giv u some steps
1. Knock out a mosa 2. Get a crap ton of meat (4 stacks). 3. Use “Level up target” to lvl it up, it will progress the meter while it’s knocked out
Wowza, try taming a level 9999 and it takes 579:42:12… Oh and of course with cooked fish meat and you need 150260 pieces. Enjoy taming survivors! :)
Squirrely 693113 narco berries too.
I tamed this monster at lvl 70 with just a primitive crossbow. All I did was search up where resource caves are cause I already knew where the mosa was. And that was it.
People in these comments being like "just knock it out with a tuso!" and I'm just sitting here wondering how to KO it while not having a squid or a basilo 😔 would a baryonyx even be safe from the eels and jellyfish?
