The Ocean King
The Ocean King
Chapter three
I swam through the ocean, still full from the alpha Tuso. I was swimming higher than most Mosasaurs, but who was gonna stop me? I’m the most powerful creature in the ocean! Not even an alpha can take me! Anyway, I was almost at the surface when I saw two Argies chasing a Quetzal. At first, I didn’t really care. But then it started to get interesting, so I followed them. They seemed to be trying to heard her to the shoreline, but she wasn’t going. Eventually, her flying had gone from slightly panicked and elegant to jagged and clumsy. Than, she just fell. She started plummeting out of the sky and towards the water, much to the dismay of the humans riding the Argies. She entered the water with a splash, and her descent slowly once she did, but not by much. I had this sudden, strong urge to help her, which was weird because I had never really been around anyone except my food. But I gave in to the urge and swam down after her. I swam beneath her so she fell on my back and began my accent to the surface. When I got most of my body out of the water, I somehow managed to shift her from my back to a rock poking out of the sea. For SOME REASON I felt the VERY STRANGE urge to stay there until she woke up. So I did. I waited and waited and WAITED. After like FIVE HOURS she finally woke up.
“Hu… wha-“ she muttered, scanning the area with her eyes half open. When she caught sight of me, she jumped a little.
“Who are you?” She asked.
“Names trench, and I also just saved you from drowning,” I replied.
“Oh,” she said. “Thanks.”
“You are very welcome,” I replied.
“Well, I’m Sora, nice to meet you!”
“Nice to meet you to I guess,” I said back. She smiled faintly as she spread her wings and took off. I looked at her as she flew, wondering what this weird, fluttering feeling in my chest was. I shrugged it off and dove back underwater.
