Chapter four

When I woke up, it was the middle of the night. I lifted my head, my eyes still adjusting to the darkness that surrounded. I stood up and walked out of the cave, looking out over the vast, bioluminescent landscape. Glowing fungi and grass covered the plains and forests. A Stego herd in the distance shimmed like the night sky, which I could see through the gaping hole in the top of the cave. Each of the stars glimmering against the pitch black night sky. A few hours passed, and Leo had woken up. He walked over and stood next to me.

“Beautiful, isn’t it” he said.

“Quite” I replied.

“Y’know, we should go hunting at first light” he said. I didn’t say anything.

“Well, are you going to come with me” he asked.

I nodded.

Two more hours passed by. In those two hours, Berry had woken up. Leo had covered her in grass, and we set off hunting.
