Taming & KO Tips
How do I tame a morellatops? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a morellatops.
Our first two tames on SE.
Two lvl 15.
Took out a 120 raptor.
Best taming method is to use a cross bow with tranqs ... Boomerangs have about a 60% chance on killing it
To Find in ragnorok go southeast twards islads.
When trying to tame a Morellatops, try to kill anything hostile around it first, because it is usually killed when it’s unconscious
It's best to grab a low level at first for a quicker tame seen as you may be attacked by dire wolfs or terror birds of there are any in the area I knocked mine out with the boomerangs after I had ran it toward a cliff face pretty straight forward tame also carries more than enough water for you to survive in harsh conditions .
Get on a rock and start traqing it and when it knocked out watch its torpor. Stuff some berries and don't let it wake up unless tamed.
Tame a solo morellatops first. Use the first one gather 200-300 narco berries, 400-500 mojoberries and 30-50 narc arrows. Extra for missed shots. Then find a group of 2-4 wild morellatops. Place your tamed one on neutral out of Agro range, so it may defend itself against predators but not attack your targets.
Find a rock tall enough to avoid their attacks. Target one morellatops at a time until it drops unconscious. Continue process until all remaining wild ones are unconscious. Split narco and mejoberries evenly among them. While taming, continue gathering berries with your tamed morellatops. Guard your taming targets against predators and continue to load excess berries onto them.
As each morellatops is tamed. Use naming convention to track their potential. We use "[tribename] [tame level after bonuses] [male or female] [name]. Two examples:
[abc] 60M spike
[asd] 25F Barbie
This allows others to easily report any of your strays and their gps location.
Bring wooden pillars near the base of a mountain or large rock, so when the wild morellatops walks into a corner, you can pillar it off. Be careful with slopes, because if the wooden pillars are too short, he will just glitch over/through them. Bring an argy with you when you're taming one, to defend it from any wild carnivores.
Isaw this big Dino and wanted it to kill me to respawn
Then I knocked out just by punching it, for 7 secs or so, it was level 25
So, punch them they fall
On scorched earth it says to fill it with water, so use water skins and other water holders. In other words make sure to be near or have lots of water.
I come across a level 150 trapped behind some rocks, it must have taken around 60, 70 narcotics to send it unconscious. I used approximately 28, 30 vulture kibble on an official sever it turned out at level 218, I had this sucker for about 1 hour then I logged out on Xbox and came back to find all my dinos have fell under the map, what a waste of bloody time.
This creature is fairly easy to tame, as long as it is alone. If in a herd, these dinosaurs will use their powerful stomp attack. It is best to wait for one to leave the group, and try to run it into something, such as a rock or tree, so you can hit it with tranq arrows. Once knocked out, its pretty much a straight forward tame.
Use anything but dried wheat and just leave it to kill the dangerous creatures and whatever else your gonna do
To tame one, first, find a high level, second, lead it away from it's herd ( if it's alone, then ignore this step), third, knock it out, and finnaly, fourth, tame it!
These guys can be tamed on extinction but you can not ride them.
He can store water for you (250), runs away if you try to tranq, really easy way to get started
The best way to do this is just to hit it with a boomerang with a bunch of cacti behind it so when ir runs away from you it will get stuck and provide a little camo and protection
If you have a high level scorpion then you can probably knock them out
The Vulture kibble is no longer it's favourite food!
Keep in mind that this dino can fit through a dinosaur gateway. I just tested it. This needs an update.
