What are tips for morellatops? Tips and strategies for morellatops in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Must tame!Scorched earth jack of all trades!gathers cactus sap,(a great food),berries,is tanky, and does a lot of damage to creatures, great for defending against raptors,my level 90 morrellatops protects against all raptors coming my way and has 1356 health, please like so beginner desert dwellers can see
In a group they attack, individual they run. Pick the lone wolf and lead it by facing the way you want it to go and trap it against a wall or rock or a safe place. No missed shots, no wasted resources, and a easy Morrelatops tame.
Don’t get the Morellatops eggs confused, for some reason they are called Camelsaurus eggs. Maybe an old name they didnt fully remove?
They prefer cactus sap over mejos
It gathers a lot more cactus sap from the tiny cactus plants ( the ones you harvest by hand)
If you’re playing scorched earth knock these out with boomerangs then tame with cactus sap, it is effective as veggies and they will eat all of it quickly making easier it than most herbivores to tame.
Crystal wyvern can NOT carry a morellatops on PC let people know so they can see and devs up date their info.
GREAT DINO.
1. Cool concept (ability to store water in a map where it scares)
2. Good for self defense ( would recommend to make one a battle mount for when you want to explore the map for new players)
3. It’s a great gather (comparable to the trike but a little better)
4. Can carry a lot of material ( would recommend to make one a pack mule for new players)
5. And last just an interesting design. I remember when my friend told me about them before I got scorched earth and I didn’t know what to think until I saw one. They just look good. Which ever ark Deb did the design you did a great job
(Please take into account that I am on easy mode cuz I wanted a more casual game)
I have a lvl 8ish female named Maggy and a lvl 15 male named Bogy (just cuz) I don’t have a large base but I definitely have a lot of berries and a ok amount of wood. I wanted to know if i should get a baby. Turn green if I should
The eggs are called camelsaurus because its the morrellatops name in the cheats.
Good at harvesting berries, WOOD, thatch and cactus sap. To harvest wood, you need to look for the bushes that look like tiny pine trees. Attack those and you will get about 80-120 wood. Hardly on par with a beaver but much better than looking for trees in the desert.
It can easily kill carnos, sabers and wolves of a lower level in a 1 on 1 as the primary attack has a knock back effect, similar to a trike in the island. The secondary attack is a stomp with an AoE effect. They have decent health and good carry weight and you can drink water from their hump. To fill the water, take it to a well, use carriables or harvest cacti with it.
Very good all round dino, especially early game.
Only drawbacks are speed and stamina.
Warning to early game players, these things are a hell to tame, especially if you're not good at chasing like me. If they're alone they flee and if they're together they attack, and God help you if you anger them in group because they deal alot of damage and are ridiculously fast, and that speed also helps them be a hell to knock out even if you do manage to get their torpor up enough, you HAVE to use a mount to chase them or just try to run them into a wall. I'm writing this because i lost my raptor to these so maybe I'm just blinded by rage idk lol
they CANNOT be carried by crystal wyverns
On console these things are a nightmare to chase down, so I good trap is some wood billboards, much like you would use for a maewing
Probably your first tame besides the jerboa. Boomerangs work wonders to knock out. Wait to single out one then knock out in a corner and then use berries. Great for water storage, berry gathering, thatch, and wood!
Try to get it running towards a wall or mountain for easier knockout
