Utility Tips

What is a morellatops used for? morellatops battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Must tame!Scorched earth jack of all trades!gathers cactus sap,(a great food),berries,is tanky, and does a lot of damage to creatures, great for defending against raptors,my level 90 morrellatops protects against all raptors coming my way and has 1356 health, please like so beginner desert dwellers can see
Good at harvesting berries, WOOD, thatch and cactus sap. To harvest wood, you need to look for the bushes that look like tiny pine trees. Attack those and you will get about 80-120 wood. Hardly on par with a beaver but much better than looking for trees in the desert.
It can easily kill carnos, sabers and wolves of a lower level in a 1 on 1 as the primary attack has a knock back effect, similar to a trike in the island. The secondary attack is a stomp with an AoE effect. They have decent health and good carry weight and you can drink water from their hump. To fill the water, take it to a well, use carriables or harvest cacti with it.
Very good all round dino, especially early game.
Only drawbacks are speed and stamina.
Scorched earth walking water keg.
The water inside them does not evaporate, so if you have several tamed you can refill and keep tons of water with you.
They are also one of the best tames for gathering cactus sap as well as berries.(I'm talking about you narco berries)
Not a fighter as it is a plant eater, but easy to feed(any berries will do). Also, sweet veggie cakes heal great.
The best part about these guys is the ease with which to find them, way better than a parasaur on scorched earth.
Sadly the downside, they are mostly pointless on other maps.
(Please take into account that I am on easy mode cuz I wanted a more casual game)
I have a lvl 8ish female named Maggy and a lvl 15 male named Bogy (just cuz) I don’t have a large base but I definitely have a lot of berries and a ok amount of wood. I wanted to know if i should get a baby. Turn green if I should
Unfortunately as with most of ARKs herbivores Morellatops are quite useless, with comparatively weak attack and low HP to its meat eating counterparts and weak gathering capabilities, you are way better off using a Raptor or if you are up for the danger, a Daedon. It does have one unique gimmick, that being its ability to store large amounts of water and allow you to rehydrate off it, but honestly just bring a couple of water skins and you’ll be fine, this ability is made further useless when players gain access to desert cloth armor and water canteens.
