This WILL be your best friend on scortch earth for a very looooooooooong time

You can refil its water even in the middle of the sand dunes by feeding it cactus! And then you can drink its regurgitated water to hydrate yourself lol

Good for traveling across the scorched earth map, as they are farely fast, a mobile water source and have ok weight limit.Good also for farming berries and cacti.

Same damage resistance as a turtle, hump blocks rider from being shot while backing up to turret, lays eggs, same raise time as turtle. Secret soaker?

Tames very quickly using cactus sap; just make sure you have enough because it doesn't stop eating them, found out after 30-40min of taming on mejo berries. I put cactus sap in just to try and about 30 seconds later my 140 was tamed.

May be obvious, but boomerang works like a charm to tame.

they attack when they are in groups! when alone, it flees.

Harvest cactus sap with these guys and it will fill their water reservoirs they have. You can also have them follow you in water and you will see them gulp water to refill their tanks. Doesn’t rain often, but rain will also refill the tanks.

Awesome for getting berries and is a free water tank

This thing is the god of scorched earth beginners. Easy to tame, can hold 750 water, decent at combat and great berry collecter.

These will not run when you attack. He and his bro’s will eat you. A lot.

This tame is a Bad in escaping but for fighting its a good one. You should tame one at lvl 80 lvl it up on health. A lvl 55 would do it too. If you need one for just gathering berries you can use a low Level one like 22 lvl and lvl it up on weight so you dont need to drop all the time.

Attacks:

Lmb:normal attack good for side and Front Attacks

Rmb: high jump attack good for Killing Vultures,Argies,and insectes

It carrys water btw 750 each time you would drink 100 means you good for 7 drinks before reacharging

This abbility is good for travelling tribes or if you have a base without any water source.

TAIMING

The taiming is the easiest Part cause you just need a bomerang and try to get it in a corner where it cant escape.

Now feed him berries and ask a nice tribe for berries.

PS: Starve it,it would be an insta tame

So, best strat I've found if you're playing solo with ASA Scrorched Earth is to play into being a cowboy of Bob's Tall Tales.

How I've done it, is try to climb onto its tail with a boomerang or whatever your knockout tool is and go right up to the back hump, then just start going to town and hoping you don't get knocked off or it runs into a group that might get ticked off from it taking any damage. If you're positioned just right, it can't hurt you and just carry you along for a ride.

Harvest cactus.

Take a mindwipe. Put all levels in crafting

Make custom consumable cactus food & drink recipes in a cookpot.

Make your cactus food & drink in cookpot or cooker.

This stuff lasts forever.

Never run a water pipe again.

If playing on ASA (Ark survival ascended) USE CACTUS SAP!! Put the sap in the morellatop's inventory and it should eat about non-stop! I normally would use berries until I tried cactus sap. It is it's favorite food except kibble. Tames Immediately!

THESE GUYS DO NOT FIT THROUGH NORMAL DINO GATES. They fit through the doorway but not through the actual gate. Do not make the same mistake as me

Ignore the feeding tips and just feed a k.od morellotops cactus sap they instantly eat it even when not hungry and they tame in a matter of minutes

They can hold water and you can drink from it!

If you find yourself against a herd of these, just keep backing up and using your boomerangs, trans arrows, and slingshots. Both the primary and secondary attacks have a delay before they actually deal damage, and they have to stop moving first, so if you keep backpedaling they won't be able to hit you.
