Tips & Strategies

It's best to grab a low level at first for a quicker tame seen as you may be attacked by dire wolfs or terror birds of there are any in the area I knocked mine out with the boomerangs after I had ran it toward a cliff face pretty straight forward tame also carries more than enough water for you to survive in harsh conditions .
If you read the shots until flea it says 1 but that’s only if they’re alone, if they have friends they WILL attack and can easily kill you and any weak tames.
Isaw this big Dino and wanted it to kill me to respawn
Then I knocked out just by punching it, for 7 secs or so, it was level 25
So, punch them they fall
Bring wooden pillars near the base of a mountain or large rock, so when the wild morellatops walks into a corner, you can pillar it off. Be careful with slopes, because if the wooden pillars are too short, he will just glitch over/through them. Bring an argy with you when you're taming one, to defend it from any wild carnivores.
On scorched earth it says to fill it with water, so use water skins and other water holders. In other words make sure to be near or have lots of water.
Use anything but dried wheat and just leave it to kill the dangerous creatures and whatever else your gonna do
I come across a level 150 trapped behind some rocks, it must have taken around 60, 70 narcotics to send it unconscious. I used approximately 28, 30 vulture kibble on an official sever it turned out at level 218, I had this sucker for about 1 hour then I logged out on Xbox and came back to find all my dinos have fell under the map, what a waste of bloody time.
To tame one, first, find a high level, second, lead it away from it's herd ( if it's alone, then ignore this step), third, knock it out, and finnaly, fourth, tame it!
These guys can be tamed on extinction but you can not ride them.
This is one of my favorite new Dinos as it's multiple uses never fail. It's a giant canteen (and can refill your water containers in the inventory), great for carry weight (especially if you're still leveling to get the saddle unlocked!), its attacks collect berries, sap, and if you step on the "tree bushes", it gathers more wood than if you pick it by hand. If leveled well, it also does decently with defense against the smaller Dinos.
This creature is fairly easy to tame, as long as it is alone. If in a herd, these dinosaurs will use their powerful stomp attack. It is best to wait for one to leave the group, and try to run it into something, such as a rock or tree, so you can hit it with tranq arrows. Once knocked out, its pretty much a straight forward tame.
He can store water for you (250), runs away if you try to tranq, really easy way to get started
If you are trying to knock them out or kill them, note that their headbutt attack has a slow animation speed, meaning you can walk backwards and easily avoid their headbutts
Their kinda slow so you can probably outrun them with no movement speed pumpt in
