The Mesopithecus is a fragile, passive-tameable shoulder pet that must be approached from behind while crouching and fed berries or suitable kibble without startling it. During taming, keep it away from predators, hazards, and water, and patiently reposition after each feeding. Once tamed, it can gather berries, carry items, unlock doors, track or alert you to threats, and slow nearby enemies by throwing feces when commanded or set to turret behavior.
