To tame a monkey you need to make a trap so it doesn't escape have meoberrys or kibble but wear a ghillie suit and it wont be spooked. I did this and it worked but I would back up just in case.

This has to be one of the best shoulder mounts (like as a normal shoulder mount not like a ferox that transforms) because of their poop throwing power enemy dinos and players usually have difficulty getting away and they also are great for raiding because they can unlock doors and probably won't be seen

Make sure they don't run into water as they often do and drown, and gillie suits are very useful as they will become much harder to scare away

To tame when you are high level get the ghille suit and you will be able to walk next to it without it running away.

It's it's very easy to catch in just polite way if you want it in single attempt get four thach walls cover it or trap bola it feed kibble

They can wear hats, it looks very cute

You can knock it out if it's in untameable state. Doing so will reset the taming progress though.

A few minutes ago I tried to tame a monkey ( I know that monkey is not what it is called but I call it that because it’s way easier to spell)and I knocked the monkey unconscious but then I realized it’s a passive tame so I waited forever but when it woke up I tried to feed it but it ran away so I basically waisted 30 minutes waiting for a monkey to wake up just to escape me

You do not have to crouch you just have to walk behind it feed it and run behind a rock or leaves
