I tamed mine with a scorpion that has ALOT of health and damage by just stinging it so it really works if you have a boss killer scorpion try it it works! RELLY! TRUST ME taming it got Easy!

There is this really hood trap that you can use to catch them all you need is 14 stone doorframes 4 stone foundations and 4 ramps.

With a rage buff (they have a rage buff) he does 57,000 dmg per hit!!

If you get near these guys when there buffed, they will kill you and the dino you're using. I recommend you to go on a rock/cliff and tranq it. And they can sit down too when tamed

Easy way to knock one out is to just stand on a tamed decent health Rex or other tall dinosaurs that you can stand on.

Guys pro taming advice ( this is half a joke btw) step one knock it out either with a trap or a rock 9r something your choice step 2 realize you need honey step 3 get honey then redo step 1 step four stick honey up it’s butt and wait there you have a big sloth!

When trying to trap use to floors of door frames.

When knocking out, DO NOT TRANQ HIM OUTRIGHT, THEY ARE FAST AND HIT LIKE A TRUCK. Make a trap (4x4 stone with doorway walls),

Stand on the staircase(stairs can be thatch, wood, or anything) and shoot him to get his attention. Make sure you have the stairs facing his direction or you will be slapped off the stairs and b he will kill you.

As soon as you shoot him, walk into the trap then go thought the doorways. He will proceed to slap the floor because he is an idiot.

Pump tranqs into his forehead(took me about 28 tranq arrows) then put any kind of food into his inventory as he is an omnivore.

Just wait until he’s tamed then boom, mega bug eater monkey that can kick some major donkey.

A bit of an obscure bit of knowledge here, but they are MUCH harder to knock out if in the presence of insects. I knocked out the same Megatherium twice, the first time I knocked it out I was hovering over it with my Rhyniognatha, and it took a long time and many tranq arrows.

I then knocked it out a second time while it was in a trap with no insects in sight, and it went out fairly quickly.

If you a trying to knock out a megatherium and it’s taking suspiciously long, make sure there are no insects in the area, be they wild or tamed

First you need tranq arrows or darts (whatever you prefer)

Next get a trap set I use metal signs to trap them but whatever you prefer

Next bring honey, raw mutton, berries (if your felling hardcore)

Wait a little while and boom 💥. Your very own sloth exterminator

I just knocked out a level 6 megarithium with 21 tranqs and used a journeyman crossbow on scorched earth. You can net it or use a large bear trap. There best use is caving because the harvest boatloads of chitin and there pretty strong. I. Useing it for caving.
