Need more tranq than dododex says.

People say they are so difficult to tame. Just knock it out through the day you’ll more than likely out run it, found mines in a juggle ran down to the beach so no saber would see me n I knocked it out. Simple?🫠

This is a general tip for any mobile players looking to tame one of these: head to the central cave (located between the two mountains north of the Redwoods) with a mount of your choosing (A baryonyx is very useful), and brave the cave up until you come across a megalosaurus. Then, you can either:

A.) Kill it, take its implant, and revive it in a safe location to tame

B.) KO it then and there, and tame it while in the cave

C.) Lure it out of the cave, into a trap or just into the open, and KO it.

I would highly recommend A, although you will need to have a revival platform and a large cage around it, as well as ancient amber. For less paranoid players, taming it then and there probably won't be as much of a hassle, but I personally don't like taming things in dangerous areas. Hope this helped :)

Knock it out when it goes to sleep (around 6:00) then feed it. You have to take the food before it wakes up (around 20:15) or it's gone. Knock it out again and put the food back in its inventory. It stays knocked out until next evening. Repeat until it's tamed.

Where is this thing on moblie? I have never seen a megalosaurus yet for odd reasons. I remember seeing a giant kangaroo, a long time later it was never seen again. Some of these creatures disappear in sight! Where are they?

If they are in half sleep dept they may knock out but once you get close to it it wakes up trust me I almost had a high level one on extinction the woke up and killed me I was low on health

Catch it in the day use net projectiles and tranqs bring superior kibble then BOOM… Lion lizard 🦁

If using a journeyman longneck rifle, it'll only take two regular tranq darts....for a level 4, anyways. My point: use something better than primitive and you'll need less ammo. Hope this helps!

Becareful a megalosaur can awake anytime and kill you that could happen.It happend to me and killed my dinosaurs(not all dead)and when is awake he could take you in mouth and kill you easy

these are the best things to tame nothing attacks u when u ride can pick up medium sized dinos

If you knock it out just before it turns to morning then it will stay asleep for the entire day don’t wait until the afternoon or later because it will wake up. Also bring prime meat it will tame loads quicker. DO NOT knock out on the same level as it make sure you are higher than it as it will pick you up in its mouth and the only way to get out is to either kill or tranq out. I now have a lvl 50 megalosaurus from this

They are, in fact, a rather easy early game tame for ragorok map. In the Viking bay, there is a chance for one to spawn under a large skeleton, so you can get it out rather then a cave. Just watch out for rexes.....

On the island map, check the cave on carno island and the one near the volcano. I have seen Megalosaurus' in both. Be sure to enter during the day while they are sleeping, it makes for an easier tame. Also, aim for the head!

These guys should get more respect. They can carry you in any map especially Abberation and they are basically as strong as a rex.

Fun fact: they were one of the first dinosaurs to be discovered.

If you wake it up to many times it passes out and you can tame it

Hard to tame why for 2 reasons

1st it ONLY Lives in caves

2ndly they wake up at night even when its Unconcioused already!

I was taming one and I knocked him out and I placed the mutton in his inventory and I came back later at night and it was awake make sure that you tame it in the morning ark

Keep torpidity up and they don’t wake up

I’ve been playing for nearly 2 months and I have not seen a single one
