You can either knock them out during the day, or you can knock them out the moment they wake up at night. It is far safer to knock them out during the day because they will be sluggish but you will have less time to starve them unlike if you tranq them after night. Note that more than likely you will have it wake up because no matter what when night hits they will automatically wake up which is why you must starve them before you tame them. This makes them a challenge to tame for some people. However with some patients and practice you will get the hang of it.

During the day, these giant beasts are gonna be sleepin, and they will also be slow, I’ve learned that thanks to taming one, and how it acts on the days and nights, so if it’s the day, raid the cave for the intelligent 👍

If you're on abberation it's simple

You need -large bear trap,4-5 billboards,usual knocking out stuff

Place three wooden billboards making a square with an open side and place a large bear trap in the middle, bring your megalo over and get it in the trap, then you have about 10 seconds to go behind it and place another billboard, now you can knock it out :)

Instead of risking being killed by Araneos and Pulmonoscorpius in a cave while trying to tame a Megalosaurus, a much easier way to tame it is to kill a high level, then revive it at an obelisk.

In order to tame an aberation one as a low level, no traps needed, just breed up a tanky ravager or two and set them onto passive, then get a crossbow with the tranq arrows and shoot em while they try to eat your ravagers, but have a hard time due to the insane health, keeping you perfectly safe

In The Island remember to bring bug repellent so other crap bats, insects won’t kill your Meglalosaurus

Look for It at the day, clear the threats on the area and then trap It with metal outdoors WHILE ON DAY, then Just tame It the way you usually tame

I reckennmed use god console when it’s down spawn bio toxic then level it up to 200 or 300or 100 then if u have the ovieraptor kibble just put it in and there u have high level meglo some spawn in the center of the map on mobile wear gille suit so nothing will atcck u

Tame ‘‘em real quick so they don’t wake up and ant day not night or the will be OP and you wont be able to tame ‘em
