Megalo don’t get targeted by basically anything up so more people can see this

Best boss carnivore of The Island, maybe better than theris. This things SHREDS bosses and doesn't need that great of a saddle due to bosses not targeting it, which keep in mind they are big enough for the boss to get stuck, but small enough they don't pull aggro.

Rexes have around 1.1k base HP and 62 damage

Megalos have around 1k and 75 damage ( at night )

If you can find these at a good level, which is kinda hard considering spawn rate, locations and spawn cap of ( iirc ) 4, it is worth it to use them for bosses.

Megalos are the best Island boss killers, rexes are overrated. Just remember to start boss fights as soon as they wake up, you REALLY want to time it correctly. " What about the Dragon? " They sneak under it and since they are not it's target, just keep away with your yuty and you shouldn't need to worry about the fire breaths. The Broodmother minions can sneak up to your yuty, bring a megatherium to sit by your side and help fend them off.

Megalos are a great option for boss fights, they work on other bosses and maps too but the night limitation makes them more useful on maps with shorter fights, they also don't really do much at the TEK cave, so pump your way out of the overseer fight or bring a specialized army for it.

Beware if spawning in Viking bay ragnarcok because they DO spawn outside of caves.

The Grizzly bears of Ark on the island. These dinosaurs may be hard to find on moblie devices, on moblie this thing is only found sleeping in caves. Cave of the clever is the most frequent spawn of this guy. DO NOT TAME AT DARK: they are twice as fast and can murder mounts as fast as a arthropluera ( the giant centipede ) also be careful as while its sleeping, it may look like a rock, make sure not to jump on a “ rock “ with a few tufts of fur.

Whatever you do, do not get close to it with pretty much any medium dinos or fliers because these thing can pick up fricking argies and monch them to death so keep a good distance between them, you and your tames. Trust me on this i lost a lot of things to these monsters.

I just tamed this and I am now realizing that they are nocturnal creatures, 🤣 so people who are taming these just know that they sleep all day. and if you force it to stay up it will go unconscious

It's easier to tame one during the day, since they will be sluggish. Find one in the Chitin Cave, and shoot it while it's sleeping.

How do they know if it’s day or night on the island if they spend all of their time sleeping in caves?

Anyone else feels bad for it when you kill it while it's sleeping?

I tamed one. It just sleeps all the time

Only true savage will try to tame this with cooked fish meat.

Be ready to knock it out twice on for the day and then again at night. It does keep the food level you had it at right before it go up for the night.

Just like argentavis but without wings... And slightly better bcoz this dino can pickup flying dinos (petra,tapejara, argenatavis!!! )
