Watch out, on viking bay I found one of these just chilling just beside a rock and thought it was one... Great first encounter with one of these lazy basturds

This thing is rare so don’t try finding one but I just found one in the central cave so go and look there.

Its worth the tame but it will get sleep deprived through the day and get high torpor and go unconscious it will also run out of stamina and will not fill back up through the day. It is slow at day but fast at night.

It is really strong on mobile you can only find it in caves manly in the cave near the volcano. So it is worth the tame but is annoying.

You can pick up Megalosaurus using Quetzal in Mobile as long as they are awake (idk if the same works in PC or Console)

These guys are absolute beasts on Aberration since it’s always night.

They are a solid, go-to tame and can be bred easily to make massive packs capable of completely pulverizing Reapers and I would even recommend bringing a few mutated ones into the Rockwell bossfight.

These guys can be carried by a quetzal on mobile

They spawn mostly in the center cave because every time I have been there one has been there

Wild:megalosaurus noctusesnis is a fiercesome theropod capable of grabbing humans with its jaws, mostly found near the 2 volcanos in the cave known as “middle chamber” in the water place they mostly sleep during the day but savage during the night,not recommended to fight one without a tame. tamed:megalosaurus is quite hard to tame during the night so it’s recommended to tame in the day time, tranq darts are very effective and raw meat will work fine, bring raw prime meat tho as it can wake up, when tamed megalosaurus is excellent for the night of ark as its very dark and this can help u defend against other creatures, they are also ignored by everything litteraly

He is normal during the Day but night is a monster

How to tame: Go in the day to the central cave and go to the very bottom. If you see one it should be sleeping. Kill off anything that can attack you or your new buddy, (You’ll need prime meat or raw meat, tranqs and a soothing balm (optional). Once its knocked out put meat in and thats how to find and tame a new buddy! They are nocturnal so won’t be that helpful in day. (works on moblie and other devices.)

dont even try to tame at night they will have glowing eyes and a insane buff in damage and health they can also grab you with its mouth

Its base damage and speed are better than a rex’s, and hit points are the same, and yet it’s a quarter of the size..? It’s damage is better than a rex, spino, and a direbear, making it one of the most powerful Dino’s in the game

So I was running around on my 300% speed Mikkalo source when I see something out of the corner of my eye and when I look…. I saw a giga is my stupid little mind I thought I could take it down by out running it… RIP fluff-rock

It worked for me. It didn’t wake up until it tamed. It can’t damage stone either

On Aberration they don’t sleep during daytime so they always have the nighttime buff. On the plus side it means if you tame them they are always at their strongest. By far the best attack mount on the new map.
