Megalosauruses are best tamed during the day by trapping a sleeping individual, knocking it out from a safe distance, and managing its torpor through the night while feeding it afterward. They are formidable nocturnal mounts with enhanced nighttime performance and the ability to grab and carry smaller creatures, making them useful for combat, transport, taming, and underground exploration. Encounter them cautiously, as they become faster and more dangerous at night, may ambush nearby survivors or mounts, and can be difficult to spot while sleeping during the day.
