Megalodon prefer raw meat than raw fish meat, so don't try to kill water dinos to tame your megalodon. In low level, they have low weight, but if you increase its weight, it will be perfect. Megalodon always spawn near red obelisk, so go to the ocean and you will find a lot of megalodon. Remember: If you don't tranquilizater darts, use a crossbow and shoot tranq!

I had a megalodon called jaws once, and I put him on wander to mate with another megalodon I had, but I forgot I left him on aggressive and he went after a dodo. He got beached and eventually about 4 dodos ganged up on him and pecked him to death. By the time I was there it was already too late. RIP JAWS ~ death by dodo

Make sure there are no other megalodon near by when knocking them out, it makes them take so much less torpor from each shot for mate boost and pack bonus. I had to figure this out the hard way

These actually have a bite force 3 times stronger than a T-Rex, so technically it should do 3(65) = 195 damage. And they need more health.

Not going to lie, the easiest way to tame these is by using a Icthy, they are so easy to juke Megalodons with while you shoot them with tranqs using your crossbow.

As a new player, lost my Diplocaulus taming a lvl 100 Megalodon, felt like a fair deal then.

After take the big fish for a ride, it died within 5 min because everything that swims attacked it, and this beast is not the most agile.

To tame you have to use a crossbow because a long neck rifle can't shoot underwater.

Like do that other people can see it.

Build a behemoth water pen, then open a gate and lure one in. Then simply shut the gate and tranq it out! I'm taking two right now!

You can’t eat or drink underwater which makes healing or renewing your Fria Curry or Lazarus Chowder a problem - Megalodons can swim straight up and straight down unlike some other aquatic mounts and when surfaced, you can dismount and stand on them to eat or use healing tonics. With enough HP you can set them to passive and let them tank damage from a Megalodon while using your rifle to dart the wild megalodon for a faster KO. Always best to have a few sharks with you while exploring the oceans.

NO the megladon WAS the biggest shark. Studies show, megs were 15 to 18 meters. That was 3 times as big as great whites! Sharkies proved you wrong.

1. Ride on Ichthyosaurus since nothing will agro on you in the water unless you feed a basilosaurus food and mantas see that.

2. Crossbow ONLY with tranqs or longneck rifle with darts to knock it out.

3. Have some bio toxin beforehand (10 is more than enough)

4. Feed raw or prime meat because fish meat is less effective.

5. You have got yourself a shark pet.

Relatively easy tame just make sure not to call the big bois THICC FEESH or they will get VERY AMGERY
