Just tame it just shoot it with tranqs

Best thing to do is have a crossbow with narco arrows to get it to come to you kill a fish near you then hit the shark in the head with the crossbow

Honestly this is a very wimpy animal in ark. I killed it in one shot with a regular shotgun. Definetly one of the easier to kill and tame animals

An easy way to kill one is to use a turtle to take agree and then stab it with spears. Or you can shoot it with almost any weapon. Or you can whack it with a weapon if you have armor. It is on the easier side of animals on ark.

One way is get a baryoniks and stun the megolon wich you want and if there are other megodon stun them two rhen kill all the meglodon that you don’t want so thy don’t interfere when you are taming then stun the meglodon again and shoot trans darts not normal darts or you may end up for sure killing the meglodon enjoy your tame

Breed two good levels and they are Crazy!!

These suck.

Basically every marine creature has more health than them.

Most marine creatures have more DPS and AoE than them

Anglers have 100 more carry weight at level one and megs only have 1.06 times the dps as an angler.

They are susceptible to all the movement impairing affects in the ocean (ie. squid grab, bary stun, torpor etc.)

They are rather fast when tamed but still outswam by other swift fighting creatures like mantas and plesios.

They have no special utility like producing oil, weight or damage reductions, rider fortitude, etc.

They they can only harvest corpses and can’t damage stone structures.

They have the same stamina depletion as a basi but slower stamina regen.

They can have a TEK saddle by by the time you can get TEK you can take a mosa and put a TEK saddle on one of them.

In short megs aren’t worth it.

I hate these I was on my way home on my boat a for some reason I fainted and fell in the water and was killed by a Meg and my two new RAPTORS attacked it and died too they also killed my icthyosaurs

Use 50 shocking darts to tame theses megalodons!!

Before you tame it- make absolute sure every wild manta and megalodon within a twenty-mile radius is dead. Mantas will go straight for you, the sharks will kill your tame

Something that’s able to breath under water. I got one of those turtle dudes with 2000 heath. Killed it super fast without losing a TON of health.

I tamed a low level one only level 4. Seems that evwrthing hates tamed Megaladons. It got swarmed by 3 other megs and 2 Mantas. Lost it within a few minutes of taming. Your better off with a Sarco if you intend to stay near the surface

If it says the water is very dangerous get the hell out of there the mfs lvl 2 and lvl 5 killed my level 19 Carbo plus they are hella Tanky hope this helped up of yes.

If you make a run in with this creature run till you have no stamina

Lead it to shore and punch its nose.

Strangely enough, megalodons aren’t that bad when you think about it. They can solo some aquatic dinos, you don’t dismount off of them if shocked(Your hit box needs to be in the shock zone, if I’m not mistaken) on mobile, they can quickly shred through the hp of a balisosaurus if you pump the points in to the dps trait, and they can pretty easily hunt anglers for gel.

Easy tame just get and itchy and a cross bow with tranqs u can shoot while on the itchy and can escape if needed because the itchy fast! Now I have 1 itchy and 2 megs! Btw and itchy is a passive tame super easy! Now the mantas won’t agro on u when u r on your new meg!!!

I encountered a alpha meg and killed it how I did it was I brought it into a river and it got stuck

I lost a Megalodon on wander to a Manta. You are better off using an Icthy because these sharks need a buff for sure. Too slow and drains stamina

They are very annoying,they attack everything except the icthy in mobile, like they even eat your tamed meg.Do they understand what is food and what is something ya should swim away from?🙄
