Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a megaloceros? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a megaloceros.
these guys they’re over powered i’m team in one right now and I only need to hit it like two times with my bat and it
down and I used a bola.
(For the island players)Go to snow biome and find one between level 130-150(on console)or a 160-180.Pick it up to with a argy or something that can pick it up.Take it to the beach south of the snow biome.Grab yor longneck and a couple of tranq darts and knock it out.Put a couple of beries in it or vegetables.Wait for it to tame up and there you go your new megaloceros.
I did this with a blue event coloured one.
(^ for other help.)
They should change the name to the Irish elk which is what’s it’s real name is
Eat a bunch of Rare Flowers so they come to you. :D
Males are decent thatch gatherers but the only acceptable reason to tame a female is to breed more males.
you should start checking the male.
get it? checking the male ;-)
DON’T TAME THE FEMALES THEY ARE USLELESS THEY DONT ATTACK
These things were probably one of my better tames the only thing I don’t like about them is that they can be like kind of slow at sometimes but my argi did help me tame them so all you have to do is technically pick them up with an argi and then just put a taming pen and then you’re good and put the saddle on him and riding them is fun if there fast and high level them is by far one of the most fun things you can do.
Bola, tranq, POTATO and you have yourself a moose, deer, thingy.
get a bola and dart it and get Berries you Only find it the redwoods
One thing to say is: never have three! Always only have two, because having three of these is a waste of tame slots. Don't take it personnally, megaloceros, i have this rule with all my tames. Even my argys. But, if you are doing a breeding program with these, have 10 max, is my suggestion. having 3 of these is bad, because...are they that useful to have 3? And, If there is two females... you are going to end up with two females, one male, and a bunch of unclaimed baby megaloceros. and its pretty hard to let those unclaimed babys die... so now you have 20 megaloceros. (this will happen if they are in a breeding pen on wander.) The lesson is: don't have 2 female and 1 male moose on wander in a breeding pen. Shortened lesson: don't have three megaloceros in the first place.
Hard to bread not a good starter tame
The only Reason why I would tame a female megaloceros is to mate with the male. They cant fight, they cant collect thatch and the male is faster
Go in the Snowbiom,
Grab a Megaloceros with an Argentavis.
Go with the Argentavis and Megaloceros to your Home base. Drop it in a Cage or let an other Player shoot it whyle your Holding it.
When it s Torpored, it will dropp on the ground.
Tame it with Crops or Berrys.
Whyle you tame it, you can Build your Base up! ;)
When its Tamed, Level it on Health or Weight.
Otherwise it dies fast.
Have Fun with it!
I Hope i helped alot. :)
Don’t waste your time taming this creature it doesn’t get berries only thatch and this “super jump” is pathetic and is of zero use thank me later do not tame
Can you find them in the redwood forest Oftenlee
Easy to knock out but the torpor does go down fast. Except if u used balm it will make it easier to tame. If you do use kibble u have to starve it first.
Their easy to tame but hard to get they spawn in the red woods very useful because they are the only Dino that you can harvest mutton from get a Dino that can pick up them (agry) and hope you have a cage because the are fast XD
Let me tame a creature please I’m begging sooo sireouos
Oh for anyone saying that they feel Canadian riding this the most common type of megaloceros is the irish elk and as an Irishman it kinda offends me
