They're found in red woods and at the snow biome. Make sure to take precaution when approaching as these biomes are pure danger. I recommend to have a small perimeter around it to keep it from running away and keep most carnivores out.
In Genesis this is an impossible tame to keep alive. For instance, since it has a large turn radius it with go near a therazinasaur or a gigantopithacus and die. Trust me, in the attic before you have tech and a bird, it’s hard.
Literal thatch mashine, if taming, use bola then tranq it. Feed it A LOT of berries, and feed it narcotics or narcoberries. Very good for the lower levels who can’t build wood or stone. Females are fast but can’t attack, and can’t collect thatch. Males, fast & can attack, can collect thatch. Females can outrun most other dinos, and make up for not attacking by running supremely fast. Males are really good in caves, they have a bleed attack & can kill airborne creatures. Great for everything, would recommend taming both female & male to get eggs, then creating kibble. Also you can eat their eggs for tons of nutrition. Definitely would recommend getting!
Idk if anyone has experienced this before on Mobile, but for some reason every time you shoot a pheromone dart at a creature and then hit it, the megaloceros will target you instead and attack you even though they are non-aggresive. Idk if its a bug in the game or is an actual mechanic in the game
