Its essentially spider Komodo Dragon. Very fast and very venomous. Trapping them in a taming pen should be easier than being chased by them.

When encountering this creature make sure to stay a distance, same goes for taming, Megalania carry mega rabies, this will spread to your tames and tribe mates, so if by chance it does bite you, stay away from your teammates and tames until you get cured.

For some reason this thing destroy three of my metal foundations, I put four of them in a metal box and they bit out the metal foundations, not sure how

TAME!! They climb super good and give enemy’s a disease called “mega rabies”. They are worth taming.

Don’t let it bite you. It will give you MEGA rabies. Trust me I tried to kill one and died 3 seconds later when it bit me and gave me MEGA rabies. Stay away kids.

If playing on ps4 you can turn damage off to tame stuff easier(dinos take damage and you take damage from everthing but dino and fall

Quick F.Y.I they spawn in groups of 10 to 20 in the trench on extinction. Not a pleasant walk down there, but great for taming.

Very strange that these do not give you herps when they attack if you have invincibility on, but the bats can still bite through the invincibility and give you herps. Herps is also disabled if you turn on the option that you disable diseases.

I tried to tame him and he attacked me and gave me fracking COVID 😭

I was in Hunter cave of Island map on direwolf was searching for dung beetle, suddenly one dino fall back of me, I turned around and quickly killed him without seeing name and all after killing it came here to learn about them then got know that I was lucky 😂, so if you want to tame them or kill them don't see down see the up(ceilings)or side walls they won't lying down, if your going on foot 🦶 then good luck

These guys seem like an early game tame but you get the saddle after tranq darts, these guys need to be way earlier game
