I tame lvl 150 just 1 deathworm horn

I got some horns pretty quickly, all u need is a decent megatharium. 2k health and 500% damage was pretty good, and you'll get plenty more levels from the worms

these mantises are on crystal isles, and you need horns to tame them. But there are NO deathworms on crystal isles! wut the heck!

If area is to cold for Mantis egg, place a campfire on either side, right up against the egg.

These can be tamed without Bug Repellent, if it only needs one feed. Sometimes it takes a few tries, but if you have high movement speed and Ghillie you can run up behind it to tame it.

If playing on valgero you cannot tame due to no deathworms

Make sure there are no pegomastax around, they will steal every single one of your death horns if they are in your taming bar. They also seem to glitch into the earth even if you catch them so you will lose them regardless. Better to split then up and add them one at a time

If your trying to tame the mantis and you notice you can feed it. That means it's agro on you just not attacking. Fly away count to ten and go back to it you'll be able to continue the tame

Use bug spray and cactus broth it makes it easier to tame this monster of a tame

(with asendent saddle it is to good)

You NEED bug repellent. I tried getting close to one with full chillie armour and it aggroed at me, I was even crouching

Ride on a flying animal and get directly above his head. Jump off and hit your tame button immediately before he goes aggressive

Cactus broth, bug repellant and ghillie suit. They won’t aggro on you unless you are right up their face.

Give it a club and it can KO other dinos for you to tame

Put it in a taming pen so nothing attacks it while taming

Tried basic, extordinary, supiour kibble did not work

I just use bug repellent without a ghillie suit and it works fine. Don't forget to use bug repellant on you and your mount if u bring one. And also be leary once you tame it if there are nearby bug creatures, they may ignore you but will attack the mantis right when it tames.

They are passive feeders, you're gonna need some horns and bug repellant

I spent 2 hours finding deathworm horns on scorched earth. To find the latest update telling me all that was useless.

Mantis can now be tamed on Gen 2 using Rhino Horns per Wildcard.

Place one foundation, then put two walls high on every side. You can then drop the Mantis in there. (it's easiest with a quetzal, but wyverns will work too) Then you just stand outside of the box and feed it, without worrying about it attacking you, or anything attacking it.
