Use bug repellant and a gillie suit. It allows you to get close without it attacking you.

Eggs cannot be moved, much like bloodstalker. Cannot eat cooked meat or will starve.

If you have a wyvern and you’re on a map with an ocean you can pick the mantis and drop it in water, it won’t agro you and you can tame it without needing any ghillie armour or bug repellent.

Best place to get Deathworm horns is the Ice Queen cave on Ragnarock. Just take a Sabertooth and eat the easy male death worms. Easy horns they spawn back fast. Use them to tame the mantis.

If you and your tribe mate work together and have a wyvern. Use it to pin the mantis and you won't have to chase it. Have someone stay on the wyvern and taming is easy. Good luck!

You have to have horns deathmorm horns make taming faster put the horns in your last slot (putting on bug repellent helps) feed it horns until tamed (note if it sees you you will not de able to feed it)

The temperature you need to incubate the mantis egg is 37.

Make a 1x1 box. Pick up mantis. Drop in box.

You can now passive tame your scythe boy through the wall without bug repellent.

This creature CAN be tamed by WOLLY RHINO HORNS!!!!

Wear Ghillie armour and big repellent to get close to feed horns.

To avoid it running off, have a friend agro towards a pen then begin taming as stated.

On fjordur there are free deathworm corpses on the volcano island around the tarpits. I got 8 from the 6 bodies laying around. No need to hunt those monstrous worms for one horn.

I found 6 deathworm horns in a puprle supply drop on Crystal Isles, so if you really want to tame mantis on Crystal Isles look for purple supply drops.

I used an argy trap to get mine, couldnt get out and it was super easy to tame without it trying to attack innocent bystanders or run off

Hi I’m the tame helper and help all of you guys tame a mantis 1 you’ll need rhino horns or deathworm horns 2 I recommend a mantis deaggro trap which is one stone foundation lurk it in with 6 walls beside and in front of it and 2 doorways

Tame a giga with a 10K health mantis with 200-500 percent damage holding 2 clubs.🧐

On Ragnarok, lure them into deep water. They only stay on the surface, so once you dive underwater, they'll lose aggro and you can feed from underneath. No ghille suit or bug repellant required!

Don’t try to get them stuck under your wyvern and get off to solo tame them.. they will despawn mid tame.
