Fjourder now has dead death worms in the volcano area, and you can harvest their horns, in the oil deltas!

In Crystal Isles they are awesome with a HATCHET at mining element shards! I was shocked when I saw how much ele i was missing by using a pick Axe with the mantis.

SE has most mantises but all are usually low levels, ragna has more common high levels and horns are easy to get from worm cave. SE has low lags and more color options during event, ragna has megalags and mana abusers that will mess up taming.

All you’re methods are old all you got to do is drop one in water and you can tame it without any Ghillie or broths !!

For those who don’t know, these guys can hold tools (hatchet, pick, sword) in their hands. Very useful for harvesting.

Mantises are really useful. They are hard to tame, but once you did, you will not regret it. They are great at harvesting fiber, and kill creatures quickly. They are also great at harvesting meat and hide.

You can't tame mantis with any other thing or with help of anything but Bugrepelent and deathworm horn. Used 5 hour to learn it.

I don’t know if it’s happened to anyone else but when in the lava wyvern trench on lost island watch out for mantis as well as wyverns because I've had a few jump out at me, sure it’s not the most deadly thing in the world when it’s wild but it can give you a bit of a jump scare when it jumps at you from out of nowhere. (This is more for when your on a mount with decent health and speed like a maewing or a mana)

Make sure you're not taming one durring a sandstorm, it will cause the taming meter to degrade.

Using a deinonychus will get you a really good amount of organic polymer from these guys. This is whay I do in asgard in Fjordur.

Can hold axes and pickaxes all the way to swords and pikes, and you can equip different ones for what you want them to do at the moment, such as pickaxes for flint, axes for metal, swords/pikes for damage output, and they gather fiber by default!

A good idea on Ragnarok is to drop one in the desert temple and block the exits with wyverns. The put on ghillie and bug repellent. If it goes aggro run over and get on a wyvern. Tamed 2 level 150s like this. Best way to easily get them. Another thing is avoid taking in open desert because if a death worm shows up you are screwed and so is your mantis. Good luck taming!!!

If you use a Wyvern and trap the Mantis under it's wing, then hop off insert the horn, then hop back on it's pretty easy. The Mantis won't agro on the Wyvern.

There is a great video on how to kill death worms very early game on YouTube by a guy named fresonis which involves using oil jars and flaming arrows to kill it and catch it on fire while it moves underground. This strategy is great for early game players with limited resources as it only takes around 4-5 oil jars and flame arrows to kill a level one death worm. This is a great way to farm horns for mantis taming.

When encountering in the rockwell biome make sure to kill things around the mantis for a easier taming experience

These can be tamed thru walls just like shadowmane.. snap 4 dino gates with doors.. no ghillie or bug spray needed
