Widely considered the easiest boss, the manticore is the guardian of scorched earth. The manticores health hardly, if at all, changes with each difficulty, but the only modifiers on the difficulty’s is how much damage it does and it’s damage resistance. Gamma has 1x resistance, beta has 2x resistance, while alpha has 4-5x resistance to damage. It summons death worms and rock elementals through the battle. If you are using wyverns, which you can now breed for mutations, you don’t really need to worry about the two creatures. But if you are using Rexs or other land creatures, then you need to deal all of the damage to kill it once it summons the elementals. It isn’t really a hard fight.

Force tamed Manticores have drawbacks.

it’s stamina drains at a shocking pace but it’s walking pace easily outpaces a Raptor; whilst flying it is incapable of using its attacks; when not ridden it can’t attack aggressors.

But it has uses.

It’s alt attack deals high torpor and it’s special attack fires narcotic spikes from its rear, essentially making it an ideal knockout method for all but the strongest tame.

Use it to jumpscare your enemies;)

If you force tame it you can’t leave, but you can kill it without it attacking you.
